Bob Newhart
Maxwell Smart
Dick Van Dyke Show
Mary Tyler Moore Show

Newhart was the best, but pretty good sitcoms from that era to watch in reruns on WGN in the early days of cable TV. (iirc)

Dale Bumpers died, big cheese in Arkansas politics. Incredibly boring and famously cautious politician.

Mash is just painful to watch.

From above link:

The five-time Oscar nominee won for 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' and 'Bound for Glory' and was the mastermind behind the landmark 'Medium Cool.'

Cinematographer Haskell Wexler, the socially conscious two-time Academy Award winner who lensed Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and many other masterpieces, has died. He was 93.
***************************

I think he died Dec 27 or so a bit belated.

Pierre Boulez, post-tonal conductor and winner of the Ernst von Siemens Music Prize (sometimes called the Nobel Prize of Music), dead Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at age 90, in Baden-Baden, Germany. I saw him conduct one time, about thirty years ago.

Now there's a show and a character that can not have aged well.

RIP though.

In the obit it said Bonnie Franklin died in 2013. Now Valerie Bertinelli is doing great for her age. She's got a cooking show on the Food Network.

Oh I misread that a little. Yeah, Schneider kinda sexually harassed Ann Romano on the reg. The 70s were a simpler time.

I just meant that I think that show would seem painfully unfunny now.

And how Bonnie Franklin ever got the lead in a major tv show, I'll never know. Horrible actress.

We were supposed to believe that Bonnie Franklin gave birth to the hotness that was Valerie Bertinelli?
