The Horror and Exploitation community have lost an absolute legend. Truly sad news I was hoping he'd reach 100. Big fan of his work and was lucky enough to chat to him briefly on twitter once when Menachim Golan died, and he was a total gentleman. RIP.
And Paul Schrader just had to bad mouth him on the very day he died. Stay classy Paul.
lol you can call him a lot of things but him "not exactly a celebrity" is not one of them.
"Celebrity," someone whose life we celebrate. I'd call OJ notorious but not a celebrity. I don't know many folks who celebrated his life, but to each his own.

He was certainly a celebrated pi personality before he became a murderer. And unfortunately the not guilty verdict was celebrated by many as well.
He was awesome in Tootsie and I loved War Games (1983) as a kid. I was also surprised to see him pop up in Black Fist (1975) a blaxploitation flick I randomly watched a couple of years back.
Walton went 21/22 in the NCAA finals against Memphis State, which should have been Providence College if not for Marvin Barnes getting injured in the semifinals.
Watch some videos of Walton in his college days. Not only could he shoot and rebound, he was a great passer.
Only saw Walton as Pro with the Celtics. And as a 76's fan, no love lost.
Looking back, he and Kareem are an interesting comparison. Completely opposite players and people, yet both were multiple time champions in college and the NBA.
Chet Walker died, great Chicago Bull and before that a member of that great 76er team with Wilt that was, in previous eras, considered to be one of the greatest evaa.
Walker in his prime musta been a wonder to behold, seeing how the old stars talk about him with reverence. Bill Cosby liked to mention him, for instance.
