RIP Brooks Robinson,

One of the best fielding 3rd baseman ever. Favorite memory was a game with the White Sox. He lost a popup in the sun right in front of the White Sox dugout and it plopped down right next to him and Sox pitcher Gary Peters stepped out of the dugout and offered him a batting helmet.

Also RIP David McCallum. UNCLE was a must see back n the day.

I was reading all the tributes in Brooks's espn obit, and Dusty Baker's comments finally did it, went and make me all emo.

"I'm just sad. Another great one is called to heaven," Baker said. "They got some all-stars up there. He was really nice to me when I was a rookie with the Braves. We used to barnstorm with him all the time and he was a real gentleman. ... I never heard anything negative about him, ever. And he was on a team that with the Orioles had a number of African-American players. I think they had 10 or 12. They all loved him. That's saying a lot. Especially back in that day."

Btw Brooks was from Little Rock, Arkansas.

Michael Gambon. He played Dumbledore in Harry Potter films, started in The Singing Detective, but I especially loved him in Beckett's Endgame.

Only knew Gambon because one of the turns (maybe the last?) in the old Top Gear course was named after him. Didn't see the episode he was on, I assume he went off course or something.
