Georgia Engel was great as Georgette on Mary Tyler Moore. Also good on Coach and Everybody Loves Raymond. She could do a lot with very small parts.

I was surprised to learn that she was only 70. (And relatedly, since recently I've been re-watching old MTM episodes, that she was only 24 when she first started appearing on that show.)

I also noticed from news articles that there was no cause of death identified because she was a Christian Scientist and didn't go to doctors. I wonder if her death was preventable. I know that it has been shown that Christian Scientists on average die years earlier than those who seek medical treatment.

John Havlicek died. Great great player, and one who always carried himself with a lot of class. Almost made everything look too easy. Allegedly he would never even break a sweat during games! Which sounds impossible but who knows.

it's also interesting how much the game was played below the rim except for the Wilt/Kareem/Russell types. Hondo was 6'-5" and i don't think his hands ever got higher than 10 feet.

Peter Mayhew was a fine actor but I never loved him as Chewbacca. Always felt like he was an awkward fit for the role.
