see also Jack Johnson and On the Corner, and Big Fun is a compilation of that era.
at the same time as Miles was Lifetime with Tony Williams and Larry Young, probably the first jazz fusion power trio.
Emergency! is an amazing collection of instrumental artistry by the three, it's interesting how much Jerry Garcia i hear in his playing Where here. deep in the 60s they were

the more i listen to Don Cherry the more i'm convinced he's a non-genre musical wizard sent here to play any instrument with strings or resembling a horn
