Just checked out and viewed “On a Summer’s Day” a documentary on the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival. Fabulous, from the great music to the great way it was presented. Highly recommended. Jazz and the people associated with it at their best.

I tend to listen to Anita O'Day and Cal Tjader doing "Thanks for the Memory" whenever I need to lift my mood.

I like the way it starts out with him framed to the rear on the left side of the shot.

but i do have to admit, i don't believe i've heard a song from a group with KG as the lead before
i've seen his name on many liner notes over the years but i didn't realize he was doing his own thing
