I still can't understand how trombones work in jazz, but I'm getting closer.

Trumpets talk, Trombones can also. Just a bit more subtle. John Cole and I posted some trombone jazz stuff some years ago. There’s a few guys that do it very well.

Rouse plays notes as if he's running across lily pads while crossing a pond. he barely touches any of them but the footprint is evident.
