You'll have to find songs that match your voice (like this one). I'm guessing songs with high notes would be difficult unless you dramatically change the pitch.
Wow, thanks. I found this song suited my voice pretty well. It's a full step higher than the original though, so I can reach the lowest notes. The high notes in this song are really pushing my limits, can't get much higher.
I might record some more vocal songs in the future, after seeing the reaction to this. Been playing a lot on my own, and I've got a decent idea of what songs suit my voice and range, and which don't. I rarely drastically change the key, because that often take something away from the feel of the song. I do have a pretty low, limited vocal range.
I've dabbled at songwriting for some time now. Now and again I'll come up with something I think sounds good and write it down. Just a couple lines. And occasionally I'll sit down and start to write something more complete, based on some idea, feeling, occasion, whatever. Something that inspires me write down. Sometimes my own feelings, sometimes trying to relate to feelings of others, sometimes writing about real situations, sometimes exaggerating them. Whatever I need to make the text make sense as a song. I thought whatever, I've already exhibited my singing to people. This is the next step. Recording my original material.
Ok great! These are really random.. Do you mind doing you're version of "Landed" by Ben Folds? or a version of "The Charlie Brown Theme Song" think Linus and Lucy with dmb, "Grace" by Kate Havnevik, "Into the Light" by Philip Wesley, and/ or "Please Don't Go" by Barcelona
I guess Please Don't Go and Grace would be really simple for someone like you, but i'd like hear your own version or whatever/ see it played on piano. thanks man
edit: "Mondo '77" by Looper would be pretty cool too
