make sure its after two weeks from last shot and you still wear a high quality mask not just a piece of cloth. las vegas will be a hot spot for all the worst variants of the virus as well as the flu and whatever.
it would be lousy to make it all this way and then die because you had irrational exuberance.

I'll be in Vegas towards the end of the month and plan to look in on a couple of poker rooms. I'll be wearing two masks covered by a shemagh and carrying a 12-gauge to wing shoot any viruses floating around.

I was very close to the Eiffel Tower when I visited Paris. Because of the concern about Terrorists it was all fenced off with army troops around it (army troops about the Louvre and Notre Dame also) and a huge line to get in. Not that I wanted to - it is an ugly, silly and monstrous steel structure only worth pissing or spitting on. I left and walked across the bridge to the other side of the Seine and had a nice lunch in an out of the way café. This was, I think, three years ago.

Paris is a fun city. I loved the silly place to pieces.

I loved the Eiffel Tower when I was a kid. I wanted to climb it, but eventually found out that they made you use the stairs, so I lost interest. But still it is a thing of great beauty.

Much better to concentrate on all the hot French babes and all the hot foreign Babes that come to Paris to shop (The same is true of London). Even if you can't touch you can ogle and gawk. And not once was I slapped. Not that I would care anyway. Most know you are just an ugly American so indulge and enjoy. Nothing is going to change their opinion or minds. And by the way, many French themselves dislike Parisians. But there is nothing unusual about different cities or sectors of countries that dislike others etc. We love doing that in the USA also. Think Detroit. Or L.A. etc......

Aniti smoking campaigners often post pictures of smokers disgusting lungs compared to non smokers lovely ones. Since they are both obviously dead I don’t find this evidence compelling

I am thinking that the equivalent deadness sort of undermines the information, I would not suggest for a moment that we shouldn’t discourage young people from smoking.

The high school I went to for two years was known statewide as “heroin high”. A major news paper ran a nationally read story about it. The people who ran that county didn’t actually want to do anything about it, so every week we would have some anti drug conference. And this was 15 years ago with videos\ material made 25 years ago. It was sooo corny.

Yes. I also made hope chains for SADD. One video that sticks out was a grainy-ish short movie we watched which was 20 years old at the time, but even back 20 years ago it would’ve been phoney. They showed it to us in 2001 and I imagine we were one of the last high school classes to see it. There’s a nice family in a nondescript suburb. The daughter starts hanging out with the wrong crowd( more diverse group of friends) and dressing boho chic / kind of hippyish . Somber music plays. I sort of remember seeing some really stupid cartoons, and the teachers saying, "yeah, that's not how it happens."

Of course, our teachers never had a drop of alcohol, much less a "harmless looking cigarette."
