the stars swell in alabama. if you ever been to alabama you would notice.

Never been to Alabama, but the moon in Tennessee feels like you can reach up and touch it. Not sure why it's true in that state and not anywhere I've ever been.

Marzipan is the most disgusting foodstuff in history, I would even put it above tripe.

As an older person I can tell you that I much prefer the young ones, they are much better looking and better at fighting.

Women are kind of grand, aren’t they?

I'm looking for a new place. I'm legit not happy in any neighborhood I look at. I'm going to settle for something, apply to it, and just kick it for a year.

Hi daveT. I was in a very bad financial situation a couple years ago. My family not wanting me to actually be homeless gave me some emergency help and I got set up in a very upscale apartment complex. It’s my golden prison. No one loves me here.

I had a drivers liscense hearing recently in court to determine if I would legally be allowed to drive . I can’t tell you exactly what was said, but my lawyer made some arguments. One of the police officers made some arguements. Then order was declared and the hearing officer declined to make a ruling. So the status of my DL is up in the air and I have a piece of paper that says I can drive until they make a ruling.

That sounds fun. Age is just a number. I always just say I’m 29.

My lease ends soon, and I didn't renew. I could move across the street and likely save $500 / month, but my area is in full collapse, and it's unlikely to recover.

I don’t know that feeling. The area I am in has been improving and growing for awhile. I hope it’s not too bad

Easter wasn't as bad as anticipated. Dinner with my brother's family on Saturday and Easter Brunch at my niece's on Sunday. Got in play time with my two great nieces, 4 and 3. Later drinks with friends. Missed my kids but I see them often enough.

Ditto on Easter! I did lots of yard work; Went for a bicycle ride; viewed more of a series On the Philosophy of Science; and then topped off Easter by reading that German philosophy guy everyone hates.

Easter with my family went off smoothly, as well, because they are on the East Coast and I'm in Vegas.

I like it when the older generation shares ProTips with the younger.

I actually love my family, we have dealt with financial transactions involving hundreds of thousands of pounds on an informal basis without anyone of us feeling uncomfortable.

easter is a good time to sit back and reflect on all the great posts ive made this past year. and then bite the head off that chocolate rabbit.

And all the great articles you've written, Ray Zee.

In 1962, Aspinall founded the Clermont Club in London's Mayfair. The club was named after Lord Clermont, a well known gambler who had previously owned the building in Berkeley Square. The club's original members included five dukes, five marquesses, twenty earls and two cabinet ministers.

But overheads were higher, and under the new laws Aspinall had to pay tax, only making a table charge which produced much smaller revenue for the house.

In Douglas Thompson's book The Hustlers, and the subsequent documentary on Channel 4, The Real Casino Royale, the club's former financial director John Burke and gangster Billy Hill's associate John McKew, claimed that Aspinall worked with Hill to employ criminals to cheat the players. Some of the wealthiest people in Britain were swindled out of millions of pounds, thanks to a gambling con known as "the Big Edge".
