Just tell them. Don't over think it. Either you did or you didn't. What is the big deal?
What if we went back to the 90s and asked everyone if they got tested for HIV, chlamydia, herpes and the entire host of other things that were coming out? Recall the free testing centers everywhere? What's the big deal since I'm not planning to raw dog everyone I meet?
There are many reasons that people can't or won't get the vaccine. Someone may be contraindicated column, and now she would be obliged to get into uncomfortable topics about her medical history. Is it really everyone's business to know all of that stuff too?
The average person doesn't have an MD next to their name, and yet many feel it is their civic duty to encourage and demand everyone around them vaxed. It's just another topic that is going to be used to sow division, and there are all too many who will go out of their way to promote this division.
I'm going to be booking shows again soon, and unfortunately, I have to be much more careful than before. I have a strict "zero politics, religion, social justice, or charity" clause, and now I have to add a "no covid or vax" clause. There are people I would have booked even 3 months ago, but won't because they use their platform to shame people into getting the vax.
I realized this comes across a little harsh, and certainly don't want to start any arguments about it, just express concern about how we may end up treating each other.
