05-10-2021 , 07:54 PM
It's not the Hells Angels, because that's 1%.

Nah, I think 10% of the US population lives in California Oregon can have San Francisco if it'll help the state feel better about itself.

That's like sending a punchline from a joke and telling me to sit through an entire HBO comedy special, when all you have to do is send a clip or, (shock) write the 5 word lead-up.

Some people ask, casually, if I've gotten the painless poke. I feel it is wrong to ask about someone's medical history before knowing their name.

To their credit, no one comes across malicious about it in person.

Since I am still a bit shakey the girl serving at the local store asked “Do you want me to pack for you “
“If you don’t mind “
“Of course I don’t mind, it’s what I am here to do”

I do not have enough superlatives to describe what a great band the Ramones were.

I need to put in grades tomorrow, and I'm really trying hard not to say, "**** it! Give them all pandemic A's."

The type of high-level thinking required goes against ray ray's way of thought

Just tell them. Don't over think it. Either you did or you didn't. What is the big deal?

Hemlock must have a fine grain. The wainscoting almost looks like butcher block.

The expression “The best things in life are free” should be modified to
“The best things of life are free, except nearly everything worth having “

What if we went back to the 90s and asked everyone if they got tested for HIV, chlamydia, herpes and the entire host of other things that were coming out? Recall the free testing centers everywhere? What's the big deal since I'm not planning to raw dog everyone I meet?

There are many reasons that people can't or won't get the vaccine. Someone may be contraindicated column, and now she would be obliged to get into uncomfortable topics about her medical history. Is it really everyone's business to know all of that stuff too?

The average person doesn't have an MD next to their name, and yet many feel it is their civic duty to encourage and demand everyone around them vaxed. It's just another topic that is going to be used to sow division, and there are all too many who will go out of their way to promote this division.

I'm going to be booking shows again soon, and unfortunately, I have to be much more careful than before. I have a strict "zero politics, religion, social justice, or charity" clause, and now I have to add a "no covid or vax" clause. There are people I would have booked even 3 months ago, but won't because they use their platform to shame people into getting the vax.

I realized this comes across a little harsh, and certainly don't want to start any arguments about it, just express concern about how we may end up treating each other.

I have no problem with people who for religious or medical reasons do not want to take the the vax, however not encouraging people to take the vax does not sit well with me since vaccinations are the single most effective measure to prolong life ever invented, excluding efficient sewerage systems.

I did not give all A's. A few passed who may not have under other circumstances, but I just couldn't give everyone A's.

Reminded of this thought by the article in the magazine by Mason
The reason that football is the most popular game in the world is that it has the perfect balance between variance and skill.
