This is the most brilliant piece of heavy metal music you've ever (never?) heard:

Got my kidney stone turned into kidney stone gravel today. It was bit more involved than anticipated but it's gone now! I was under for more than an hour and have a little discomfort now which should pass. They use very concentrated sound waves to turn the stone into very small chunks of dust and gravel that pass painlessly so in a day or two I should be back to full strength I am just glad to have this almost behind me.

Interesting. Quick search says this procedure is call Lithotripsy. When you say you had to go under, does that mean they put you under anesthesia for this?

They're really cool--you can play movies at home with them. You ought to save up for one.

The last movie I watched was "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood," when it first came out, at the Alamo.

The one before that was, I think it was that "Creed," which I also watched when it came out, also at the Alamo, in Austin.

No, wait, it was "It" or "Baby Driver," I think, neither that I wanted to see, but my friend didn't want to go alone.

You know what, I honestly don't know what was before OUTH. Don't ask what was before Creed, but I'm guessing it was that wonderful documentary by Micheal Bay called "Transformers."

Yes. I laid on the table and 30 seconds later I was out then I woke in the recovery room about an hour later with no sense of what they did.

Congratulations, mrb! From what others have written about the stones, glad you didn't have to go through that.

Student asked me today in class while discussing poetry if I ever said anything romantic to my wife.

I said, "Of course not."

remember two weeks for each shot to reach its peak. really 5 weeks to be in the 90% bracket of protection with two shots.

luckily you get it in the arm and not the head or zeno would have broken a few needles.

For those who have suffered from kidney stones you have my deepest sympathy.
I have been catheterised, when your bladder decides to try to expel the small balloon holding the tube in place the pain is excruciating, fortunately I only had to go through this for a day or so.
I was being titrated at the time, it is worse than being drunk (Ref D Adams)

I did read a couple articles that said seven days is sufficient after the second shot. Friends were told ten days at vaccination spot last week. I teach seven days tomorrow. I feel pretty secure since I barely go out anyway.
