Thanks for the reminder to take a pic of the vaccination card, Zeno. I knew there was a step I was forgetting.

I received an email from Allegiant titled "tips for a stress free flight."

What part of "I'm flying" did they not understand?

Note to Ray,
I’m watching the snooker, but I do know that Pool players have bigger and heavier balls

I'm not much of a football fan these days, but I like checking out the names of the players. Kwity Paye might be the top pick in the draft.

I think that basing any decision on the stupidity of the persons name is wise
See Lees reaction to having to deal with “Hooray Partridge “
I also abandoned a potential deal when I realised that it would involve interacting with someone called Randy Town.

The “Simple recipes” posted in newspapers annoy me when they suddenly explode into about 50 ingredients and complex cooking methods.
Here is my sausage recipe
Buy sausage
Cook sausage
Eat sausage

Truth. Sausage sandwich for dinner tonight.

Don’t make the ridiculous mistake of being sober tonight.

Never! I am changing it up this week. Normally I will consume beer, vodka or gin. But I was at the liquor store this week and saw something I couldn't pass up. This was a favorite of mine back in the 70's and I don't think I have seen it since then? Not much of a wine drinker but back in the day I used to really like this stuff. Mateus Rose'. Used to come in a funky dark, bottom heavy obloglonish bottle. The bottle shape is still similar but somewhat streamlined and now clear. And I gotta tell you 2 glasses in and I am digging it. Will definitely repeat.

Quick note
When we were on holiday Jean burst out and said “You Welsh boys certainly can sing “

Bourbon tonight.

And I remember that Mateus Rose from years ago.

Last Friday, I drank Whispering Angel Rose. Woman's choice.

I will never refer to football as soccer, it is a game played with the feet using a ball so this seems quite self explanatory to me . If the yanks come up with a game involving huge men crashing into each other this is fine , but since it doesn’t involve a ball or the use of feet I think that calling it football is a bit of a stretch.

Ah, Matoosh! I hadn't thought of it in a while. There was a period of time in the 70's where every Austin hippie chick's kitchen had a Mateus bottle with a sprig of ivy in it.

the nfl has place kick offs, field goals, punting, extra points, and free kicks.

Which is about 1% of the game vs football where approximately 100% of the game involves moving a ball around with your feet. My point still stands.

My dad one new a guy who had the last name Hoele. He was going to name his daughter Iona. They managed to talk him out of it.

Then there was the time a coworker of mine's dog came back to his house with his neighbour's dead rabbit in his mouth. He was devastated that his dog killed their rabbit.
He cleaned it up and put it back in its cage in their yard. A few weeks later he was talking to the neighbours.... they proceeded to tell him about the weekend they went away and on their return and found their rabbit that had died and they buried in a backyard grave before they left for the weekend was back in its cage.

By my guess, 10% of "football" is rolling around on the ground screaming in fake agony, so maybe we should have called it "flopping" instead of soccer.

Rolling around screaming in fake agony is one of the finest skills in any sport

I wish I could come up with an argument against that, but I can't.

This sounds fabricated, but I love it.

The bottles were also very popular for using as a candle holder for those candles that were designed to drip. I had no idea the stuff was still around until I saw it last week.

it was a joke ,, thanks RR.

The time that Morfie ran off and came back with a dead chicken in his mouth is not fabricated, caused Jean a mixture of embarrassment and terror
