I call it embarrassing. They are both making asses of themselves. Give me Ali's wit any day.

Now would I say this to their face? No. (:

Made a radical change yesterday.

Spoiler:
Changed to 25 posts/page.
With all the tweets, video, and pictures, some threads were taking forever to load. I feel this will become the new standard.
Will update.
07-15-2017 , 06:32 PM
I think that the original plan was to put media behind a spoiler tag to help loading. No one seems to do that anymore. I will probably follow your example as soon as we have your report.

I had no idea you could embed a tweet until you mentioned it. KEWL!!!11 No telling what kinda trouble this will get me into. I guess I'll start by ridiculing Red Sox fans.

#redsoxfan.

Go ahead, ridicule.

So far, 25ppp > 50ppp. Much quicker load time. I can see it catching on.

I have no idea what mine is. It's set to whatever the default is. Loads fine for me, usually.

Or more.
A lot of the threads have multiple pics, vids, etc. There always seems to be one that hangs up. Could just be my pc.

Question of the day asked of me while wearing a suit at a local store: "Weren't you wearing a Nine Inch Nails hoodie last week?" Why, yes, I was.

Amazing what these young kids remember.

Did you say:

"Mr. Reznor is a mighty fine Sax player"

I walked along the beach at San Clemente today. Richard Nixon hovered above the waves and winked at me. My life is now complete.

Wildland fire burning south of us that sounds like it got a bit western. Thankfully wind is not blowing at us right now.

Zeno, I went to the Nixon Library last year. I didn't have any sort of religious experience.

Still rainy season in Mississippi. I swear the entire town was about to fall over yesterday.

One minute, it is nice and sunny, then all of a sudden, a thunderclap and torrents of rain are beating down, trees limbs are snapping and falling on the roof, and vision is about 10 feet.

The only reason this place isn't flooding out is because the storms only lasts for an hour or two, but wow, it's a crazy hour. It's not a time to be stuck outside.

Why are you in Mississippi, Dave?

I'm house and cat sitting.

I also planned to leave Austin and move back to LA, but a friend needed someone to hold down the fort while he's out of town for 2 months, so I'm here for the time being.

It's a very different world out here.

I learned to surf at San Onofre when it was still part of Camp Pendleton. Never saw Nixon, but LBJ was always waving at me and winking. It was like being in a Tim Powers story.

fish when we had the big fires in 88 up in the north fork. a guy put a sprinkler on his roof, and after it was over his place was the only thing standing and there from the sky you could see his house and a round green ring of grass around it.

Although I concede that a religious experience touring a presidential library is of very low probability, it is not impossible. It is unfortunate, in my estimation, that your visit to the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda did not produce a more exhilarating experience but certainly hope it proved worthwhile and informative. Libraries are, after all, a useful civilizing influence and deserve promotion and funding and frequent visits.

I think you will agree that the setting of my vision, near Nixon’s old ocean turf, is more conducive to the experience I related, and thus more probable. Beautiful turquoise colored water, pounding surf, and an endless heavenly sky simmering into a distant horizon has all the needed elements for seeing a former U.S. president hover over the waters of the deep, floating effortlessly on gossamer wings, and giving a former voter a benediction, with a sly wink. Certainly, John Milton would agree.

There is the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (I think it is being decommissioned now) just south of there. Was it operating when you graced the area with your divine presence? If so, it could explain some of the oddities about you.
