You're beginning to sound like Zeno.

I didn't make it up. It's Fall Out, Boys (And Girls); LC Thread Zeno, on the other hand, does make up stuff.

i thought Ezra Pound and T.S. Eliot were fighting in the captain's tower
while calypso singers laugh at them and fishermen hold flowers

Spoiler:
sad to think Bob is pushing 80 and his time is likely coming quick, as the present now will later be past

I saw Bob several months ago--for the first time. Very glad I did.

All true, but I *have* seen Bob Dylan. I was tending bar ~1980. All the waitresses were abuzz because Bob was sitting at a table drinking a glass of wine.

A few minutes later I'm washing glassware and look up and there's Bob Dylan standing in front of me. He asks, "Do you know what Holiday Inns are made of?"

I suspect it's a trick question. I say, "The bricks of religion?"

He looks like he suddenly realized he was talking to a lunatic, backs off, and goes back to his table.

The last time I saw Bob he was playing Mac Court in Eugene sometime late last century. All I remember was Van Morrison dominating the evening as the opening act.

Do any of you ever go back and read posts/threads from the olden days? I sometimes will do a search with my name and a random word like "happy" and see what pops up. I do it when I'm bored or at the poker table. Kinda fun to see what we were talking about in 2009 or whenever.

I do it now and again. The old arguments are fun to revisit.

And I like the old threads about a particular subject, like Twin Peaks.

the first signs of getting old and senility is looking back on the past. i should know i do it all the time.

Dom,
Yes.
I notice the people who no longer post and hope they are good.

A little help for those of us who run bare bones 2p2:
the 'notice' today looks especially large. Anything important?
11-21-2017 , 03:25 PM
Nope. Enjoy life - that's important, the rest is just gibberish.

Or, you could read this essay:
