I've been dutifully reading through the threads in ATF and let me tell you it's taken me hours! I think some of the posters made very good points only to be dismissed by the mods. Of course in between I've taken a break to watch Mysteries at the Museum, raked the leaves in my front yard, and heated up my Thai food for lunch. Someone did call kioshk a nazi. That's pretty uncalled for and rather inflammatory. How many mods actually preside over in the Politics forum? How many of them are conservative?

God truly does work in mysterious ways; I recently had a very excellent dinner at a Peruvian restaurant in London with some friends. Sans the silly pan flute rendition. Which reminds me that I have a trip report to write that I'm very happy to do for the loungers. Everyone else can just piss off.

tonite ill be eating homemade pasta with homemade sauce, with morel mushrooms, and sides of homemade organic cranberry sauce, potatoes from the garden, and fresh greens.

yea, and starch is good for you.

eat pasta get strong.

I like Thai food, hard to get the good stuff in the USA though. Dog is eaten mainly in the southern provinces of China but can be had throughout Southeast Asia if you really want it. Spicy Dog stew is reported to be a great delicacy.

Two-plus-two may be more interesting than the Onion but the Onion is funnier. I think. I could be wrong.

Rain starting here again in earnest and the rivers are getting blown out. Few fish are being caught.

I ain't lobbying for nothing no more. To be clear, I purposed nuking Politics, RGT and SMP for business related reasons, mainly. And it was an honest and genuine proposal, even if misguided or misjudged, to help 2+2 overall. I have no other comment. Possible what I posted was nuked. Don't know, don't care, and I don't wear underwear anymore either. So there. Enjoy life Katy, it is shorter than you think. That's what's it for. And I think Ray will at least agree to that last bit.

i will either open a bottle of bourdeux or a chainti as that is what goes with xxx food.

no california wine or wine from those 3rd world countries that still use ddt and import our banned pesticides.

Usually I use a spaetzle recipe for my chicken soup, but I have to say the buttermilk dumplings are much more fun. When you try to flip them they have a mind of their own. So scrumptious.

I just learned that person X, up the road on 101, bit the dust. He was a partner in a small business and did wood carvings and other art stuff – some of it rather good. He was a friend of my Father. Anyway, I visited a few months ago and had a pleasant talk. He did have health issues being in his mid 80’s.

So one morning, late this summer, he goes out to feed his chickens, toting small pails of seed in each hand. He sat down to rest apparently before the task was done and fell over dead. And that is how he was found - Slumped on the ground - Surrounded by hungry chickens. Such is life.
