Bose Quiet Comfort. I know a lot of "afficinados" diss Bose but I always liked them. My old raggedy ones are Bose and still sound outstanding. I have been through lots of brands (Senshiemer, Skull Candy, AKG) but like Bose the best. My AKGs are great too but they are open headphones and not made for walking around in. They are for sitting still and listening.

The earbuds? No idea just a pair of cheapos off of Amazon. They sound fine but I only use earbuds in a few select circumstances.

I have one once in awhile just to sit around and do nothing in my robe, and toast to the dude

One of my granddaughters (both of whom I saw last night) is a freshman in high school. Next semester she's taking a course in personal finance. For some reason, I doubt she'll remember a thing when she's either in college or has graduated.

I gave her only one piece of advice. Don't get a credit card until you can pay it off automatically every month.

She won't remember that either.

I went to Chick Fil-A for a 30 piece nugget and Winchell's Donuts for 1/2 dozen... then I came home and I am ready for my nap.

Played in a home tournament group I got invited to. Really tired, so played my B or C game. Ran cold, then hot, then cold again.

After busting, said I was too tired to stick around for cash, and went upstairs to leave. Get up there, pack up my little poker satchel, and couldn't find my car keys.

Back downstairs, we looked around. Double-checked all my pockets my satchel, couldn't find it. Thought I remembered pulling them out on the way up the stairs, but was tired enough to not be sure.

Back upstairs, checked the area where I'd set down my water to pack up, didn't see them. Well, ****.

Called AAA, hoping they could help, or maybe give me a tow home or something. Turn around, see the key on the food-laden table. I'd set it down behind (from where I packed up) a tray full of sandwiches.

Crisis averted, but was scared for a while.

Then, of course, left my water on the table. Sigh.

At least had a decent night's sleep last night, though with a weird dream including a tsunami. Just about back to normal.

Oh no doubt... I don't eat them all at once, I get thirty for left overs... same with the donuts.

I have tried more than once to learn the difference between raisins, currants and sultanas, but I doubt I shall ever learn it.

Yes... they write themselves, but it's not always the 'joke' we think it is.

Gotta admit I am looking forward to this world series. 2 marquee teams which is a rarity these days. The baseball playoffs can be brutal and it is rare that the 2 favorites get there. MLB has to be loving the 2 biggest markets involved along with probably the 2 biggest stars in Ohtani and Judge. I see the whole thing as a coin flip but will be rooting Dodgers because **** the Yankees!
