how's this for a draft?

so I was thinking it might be cool to have a draft where we each are a production company making a feature film or HBO mini series based on a real life event and have to cast it and hire the main creative crew.

the question is do we want to agree on one cool event to be filmed and all have to make a film based on that and at the end we vote on which version we'd most like to actually see or do we want to each pick our own historical event to produce?

obv either way once someone is drafted they are off the board.

love to hear some ideas and if anyone is interested.

Some existing event based movies: Pearl Harbor. Blackhawk down. Apollo 13.

I would say the best way is to draft an event, male lead, female lead, primary supporting character, and director. Event should be contained to a time period lasting max one week (eg, you cannot draft "World War 2" as your event, but you could draft the Battle of Midway). Creative team you are drafting them as they presently are at their present age (ie: don't draft any dead people!).

I think that's a great idea I just realized I don't have the ability to run a draft at the moment so I apologize I would def participate but someone else would have to take charge.

I would play this but don't want to be restricted to a 1 week historical event.

Can we expand it to other, longer, but niche events too. Imagine things like The King of Kong or Mr Turner as examples of what I mean.

I certainly give it my blessing but at this point unless someone steps up to run it doesn't seem like it's gonna go and if anyone does decide to run it then it will be up to them obv.
