How many 10+ year posters? - Page 4 - The Lounge Discussion and Review on Literature, Arts, Culture

Many of us who still use are real names were around then, and I remember all those you mention. Badger had extensive film knowledge, especially in film noir. Srendi Vashtar also posted frequently, and while many contented themselves with poker discussion, Other Topics was visited by nearly everyone. You may remember Mark (later M), Vince Lepore, Rick Nebiolo, and the Feeney brothers as well.

Sredni Vashtar. Brilliant, strange, wonderful man. Never met him but corresponded with him at length. World-class writer and intellect. So many of the posters in those days were great guys. SRP; Tommy Angelo; John Feeney; Lee Jones; Rick Nebiolo; Robynne; Clarkmeister. I'm old and probably forgetting a bunch of great people.

Zero poker forum visits these days but still love this place. Been through a couple name changes too due to software changes over the years. I have yet to meet a 2+2er irl that I didn't like and some are my 'best' long distance friends.

I lurked on 2+2 for years before I regged. Used to play on Planet Poker back in the day. Was terrified of putting real money on it but eventually did so in 2000 I think it was. Funnily enough I'm getting back into poker again, just live stuff, not online. It's fun again and I've missed it. And all of you cool cats of course.

what's really nuts is for the first ~6-7 years I only posted in HSNL never even opened up OOT or the lounge.

would lurk in NVG but didn't even really know all the other cool forums n just was posting poker strategy.

wasn't until the whole really great HSNL community dispersed and ppl stopped sharing poker strategy that I discovered the other forums and once I realized what great film, TV and sports discussions were going on I never went back to the poker forums.

haven't made any poker related posts in at least 4 years.
