IMO Number7 is right. You have to bring out the big guns to get to the finals. At that point, you don't have to be faster than the bear any more, just faster than the other player.

And, you're not the only judge Dom. Not every judge is a filmie, so if players want to assume ALL judges will be familiar with a character it does limit the pick pool somewhat.

Anyway, thanks for a fun round. The contest has been a pleasure. Up til now.

About the selection of hot girls... With all due respect, it's not as easy as it looks. There were several actresses I wanted to use but couldn't find the right kind of pic of them in a specific movie. I'm pretty bad at finding pics.

I had thought of Kim Basinger but she's a little unstable sometimes

Yeah, Rachel McAdams was weak, I totally agree. But she handled herself well in the company of that creepy guy don't you think?

Also, I think the 2nd pic that Chip posted of Elizabeth Shue was ridiculously sexy and I don't say that about many women.

I just saw this post by Dom. Our House did something similar in his original Hot Guy contest in POG (having the finalists submit 2 different men for the judges to rate).

She is much more hot in Match Point, both her look and her outfit is OMG

But Dom gave her the knife, i feel he did it out of dissapointment for not being lost in translation

This turned out to be a lot more difficult and time-consuming than I imagined. The odd thing I learned is that the core of 'hot actresses' in relatively recent movies in which I might expect the judges to know the characters is surprisingly small. Or maybe it's just my imagination

Yes the judges have done very well, it is like we have Dom in one end, tuq in the other and tarheeljks placed somewhere in the middle of the taste meter

It has worked very well, and it is ok they slash a character, when they can give a reason for it, subjective or not

I'm back from the weekend (Go DEVILS!!) and here's what I got so far:

Final two contestants have choosen TWO pics for the final Round. Dominic has finished his scoring, Tarheel needs to score katy's Rachel McAdams pic and ChipWrecked's Marilyn Monroe's pic. Tuq needs to score all 4.

I have ONE female character that I have had in mind from the beginning and am STUNNED that noone picked her:

Sharon Stone was definitely someone I considered. But her films are kind of creepy. It's been awhile since I watched Basic Instinct but as I recall she had some kind of fascination with ice picks. I would think the mention of that film might send chills up the spines of our men. Anyway, I had to reject her character.

I considered posting a pic of her in Sliver. She is stunning to look at. But as much as I like the film I really can't recall her being all that fascinating or memorable a character.
