I often go to dinner with my colleague, one of our department chairs. I time her to see how long it takes for her to say that word. Last week she managed to go an hour and a half, a record. Other times she couldn't make it five minutes.

When you least expect it, the Bears "might" win a game. Fields "could" go crazy and rip off some big runs but he looks lost and is a bust. Plus they just lost their left tackle plus their defense is horrific. Ownership, management and coaching staff (defensive coordinator has gone missing?) are all well below average.

They haven't won a game since last October. I would rather bet on the Washington Generals

My 13 year old granddaughter sent me a link to Dancing in September last night. I told her that is the English Department theme song because I have decreed it thus.

Her reply: "That seems like a very you thing to do, Grandpa."

I have a major league toothe ache. Went to the dentist this week and need to go back next week for a root canal

Tonight I am treating the pain with ibuprofin and gin. Seems to be working okay
