Realistically still 30 or more days from the start of my season because: work, but excited for when that happens. Chasing a whitetail buck and mule doe this year. Hunting partner has a moose tag so I'm sure that will be an adventure.
The last time we had a moose in our group, a Moose and Magnums party followed. We demolished a bottle of 1996 De Venoge Louis XV with deer tartare, moose tenderloin sous vided then smoked and served with béarnaise, along with many other things and it was incredible.
A magnum of 1996 Henriot Champagne Brut Millésimé waits for this season. I hope we can pop it.
