Cougar at this point in time was trying soooo hard to be the Indiana Springsteen.
as a high school freshman i may or may not have reached 3rd base with a senior in the back seat of her ford falcon while this song was playing on the radio. it may or may not have had something to do with her being a huge Springsteen fan.

Was at CPAC hotel in Maryland. Politics discussed all over. Tried my best not to listen. Both day and night drinking helped considerably.

Got home today from conference, which, as I said already, was overrun with CPAC members. Beautiful weather for two days and not terrible the rest. Fortunately, my colleague was up for anything, so we spent a couple nights in Old Town Alexandria, where, somehow, we were spotted by her daughter's friend, and another night in Georgetown. Went to a couple lovely places for dinner and wine. Went out another night with her niece, her niece's husband, and their two young daughters. Finished up each night in whatever bar we could find.

Unfortunately, I didn't run into Dom's brother.

But I did actually spend the days attending numerous sessions on math, writing, and reading, connected for drinks with a couple colleagues from CC of Baltimore County, and generally enjoyed the time away from the daily work.

I am fully aware of my wallflower status and suffer no delusions. However, that doesn't mean I can't be a gracious and charming gentleman when I want to be one. And I repeat that had you seen me last week you would not have assumed I'm a wallflower.
