the fish oil is really supposed to be good for arthritis. as well as exercise . but thats two things most dont want to do. so its a decision of what is worse for you.

Squeezing the fish to extract the oil got really tiresome.

I go down to the aquarium every few months, they'll change your fish oil for 20 bucks or so.

Maybe typing up a post about arthritis is bad for the hand? You only get so many movements from each finger. My left ring finger is virtually dead, so gotta use the movement count wisely.
01-19-2018 , 09:20 PM
ha ha you deadbeats. the more you use your fingers the better they become.
01-20-2018 , 12:02 AM
use it or lose it!

but that limited-number-of-usages-left take reminded me of the end of Kill Bill. Uma Thurman's character strikes Bill with that 'heart exploding karate chop,' but he only dies after he takes 5 footsteps or something. I would've rationed the **** outta those precious remaining steps, and ordered a wheelchair ASAP. But, in the movie, he just squanders the 5 step lifetime allowance immediately.

I used to be able to use 3 and 4 fingers to pick. These days I can guarantee 2, though weather permitting, I can sometimes use 3 fingers, at least I used to up to two years ago.

the obvious answer is anything Rick Nielsen is holding in his hands out of his own personal collection (by the way, i'm pretty sure Rick also invented the photobomb...and Bun E Carlos is a seriously underrated drummer)

I love Cheap Trick. Here's a Stradivarius guitar my cousin made for Andy Summers.

My grandmother kept a bottle of cod liver oil around, and when Ray started talking about fish oil, I flinched. But I did a little research and found that you can buy it in gel caps, so I'm going to give it a shot.

I've been a self-experimenter all my life, so I'll figure out a way to measure flexibility and pain, keep notes, and see what happens.

btw, my grandmother's bottle of cod liver oil had a drawing of a cod fish with a faucet coming out of its stomach, so John's description of the process wasn't far off.

you can also eat tuna, sardine sandwiches, salmon etc. they help. nothings instant though.
i dont know if its the fish oil itself or the omega 3. but it isnt painful eating those things.

ello internet friends. I know I'm new to the lounge so maybe most of you don't know what I'm all about. Basically, I'm on a personal crusade of the mind. Please help me write a speech.

thanks

Tough one with two different audiences. Is your speech meant to be informative? Persuasive?

The common good in this case is an effort to stop mass shootings and other heinous crime. Peace through superior mental power is my weapon of choice.

Just be careful with the fish oil. There is no regulatory body that keeps the frauds in check. Many brands don't use the advertised fish and many have high levels of mercury.

Farmed fish is better than wild fish.

In other news, suffering with the flu. The worst was yesterday afternoon, ie round 3. It's without doubt the sickest I ever felt. I can at least stand up now.

Wow. You are aware, of course, that police unions support, for a number of reasons, strict gun laws. So, how do we live with no strict gun laws, nearly unfunded resources for mental health treatment, and a culture that refuses to see how these are related?

Due to my history of mental illness, I couldn't legally obtain a firearm and that's the way it should be. I don't have the answer to your question, but you really hit the nail on the head. I'm off for a coffee date with a lady friend, but I'll be back in a bit.

I think we can change this; this is my mission; to educate the masses is to change culture. Culture is not static. Culture evolves. The more information spreads through the minds, the better we can deal with this problem.

Perhaps, then, that's the message of your speech. More persuasive than informative and possibly better suited to your audience.

Education is pretty worthless when you're trying to educate away a strong tribal identifier.
01-21-2018 , 12:49 PM
My mission actually has little to do with guns. It has much more to do with the education of a world that demonizes the mentally ill; a world that teaches the young to be afraid of the mentally ill; a world that takes freedoms from the mentally ill; a world that uses "you need professional help" as an insult. etc.
