We will be discussing 'Zulu' in 2 weeks time, starting on Monday 15th October. This thread will be bumped in 1 week as a reminder, then on the Friday before the 15th as a further reminder.

This is available on Netflix, and is available on DVD and Blu-ray. The blu-ray is recommended.

The discussion will focus mainly on the film, but historical/movie tidbits would also be fine.

Please indicate your likely participation by signing up here

I picked Zulu in one of the movie drafts - forgot which one. I will add my usual scintillating perspectives and witty observations.

And by the way, Zulu was one of the best The Stooges movies ever made.

And what is this Movie Club? - What kind of numbnut belongs to a club. Smells too British for my taste.

Will watch it this weekend. Saw it as a kid (in the 60's) so I don't remember it all that well. I seem to remember a Zulu Dawn as well but again I haven't seen that one in forever either.

I will watch Zulu Dawn too as I think I need to bring the most to the table as instigator of the Zulu choice.

Ill also try to watch the miniseries Shaka Zulu if I can, but it appears to be 500 minutes+, so no promises. I have heard it's very good though.

I knew there were others. DB was one, but he had to edit his OP title.

I'm kind of regretting fixing the original title from mpvie to movie now. I thought when I first typed it there were a black mark on my screen....turned out it was the tail of the p in mpvie.

A bit too masculine for you?

btw Zeno,

Is it worth mentioning this club in the History Forum? I'm sure some of your brainiac historians know all about Rourke's Drift.

No, but his collar is too stiff and his hair is too slick.

And yes, some of the military historians in the History Forum may like to participate - good Idea.
