I seriously doubt 35 would be good. This past test, I knew I answered wrong (or no answer) on 7, and was iffy on 3. Not to sound arrogant, but I can't imagine being wrong on 15% of the answers where I was 100% sure.

70% sounds too low as a qualifier.

Of course, anything is possible.

Audition went well. I don't think I did anything to take myself out of consideration. After some warmup questions, we took another 50 question test. I think this one was just to make sure we weren't cheating on the first one. I'm not sure how well I did, but between 30 and 40 is my guess.

As they were grading us, Jimmy from the Clue Crew came on to talk about the show. Then we played the mock games. They told us like 5 times over the course of the day to remember to wait until the question is finished before buzzing in, otherwise you're locked out for a quarter of a second. Despite this, I did buzz in too early (and made a face immediately showing how I knew that).

Everyone in there is smart. I can't be on the show until after May at least, so I have plenty of time to study on my weak points, which are many. If I can't control the board, I can't make any optimal DD wagers, so I really need to shore up my weak points on music, literature and art (among others).

I took the test probably close to 20 years ago. Well before online. It was an in-person, 50-question test in a hotel conference room. The questions were delivered via video tape.

They didn't tell us what the qualifying score was, but there were rumors that it was 35. I didn't qualify - I guessed at the time I was around 30-32.

I also tried out for "The Weakest Link" around the same time. Oddly enough, those questions were much harder. My problem with Jeopardy was the speed. I was writing one answer while the next question was coming up. I tried to take notes so I could go back, but it just got to be too much.
