there was a cowboy who kicked a cow patty all the way through
and it splashed all over his girls shoe
she said get on your knees and clean till its bright
or ill hit you with all my might
and your eye will be black and blue.

And so it begins.

Well, my celebration of a Nevada Blue Wave has been quickly snuffed out by the impending Constitutional Crisis

My brother, from Montana (lives somewhere near Cascade) has been to the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering held in Elko, Nevada. Ray needs to attend also. Poetry at its best. Elitist Eastern Snob Types are welcome too. Cow patties are for all.

I'm fleeing to Sicily (and elsewhere) for Christmas and New Years and beyond for awhile.

I'll be at JFK for ~2 hours on Dec 12, if John wants to come down and say hi and buy me a late lunch.

i go fish the missouri river right above cascade. really good brown and rainbow fly fishing all year long.

i dont like those cowboy poets. but astoria oregon has a fisher poets convention thats really big every year. that one would be right up your alley mr. zeno.

There must be Taoist Temples in Hong Kong. Also hot babes in heaps. I leave it to your lucid and fluttering brain cells, Phat, to divine which is more important. To you. Not I. I already know.

Actually I was referring to Mr. zee's entry into the life of belles-lettres . It starts with poetry, then the next thing you know he's purchased a beret and a black turtleneck and is sitting in a cafe in Paris or Sulphur Springs -- one of those places. Once I saw that he had commenced to versifying, I knew that Montana wouldn't be big enough to hold him. I'll miss him on the forums, but I am afraid he is lost to us.

Funny you mentioned Hong Kong. I haven't been there in years, but I've made and canceled three flights there since August. I was just going to get an internet room (if that's possible) and walk around and eat and ride ferries. I haven't seen it since the change-over and wonder what it's like. I'll know by the end of this month whether I can hop back on google flights and look for a ride. There are cheap flights out of Vegas for ~$560 RT. Flights out of Austin seem to be too high, with Austin - Vegas - Hong Kong being a better deal.

I think I'm going to the America Heartland and watch a poetry slam for Thanksgiving.

great dave good to get back to the roots of the country. unless you are conservative dont talk politics. i havent been that way in a long time but last time i saw the changing from rural to like any place else with the towns growing out and the box stores and strip malls.
even montana has done that route in all the larger towns.

most of the people in the rural areas will be great and a good time for you i suppose.
