Have a great Thanksgiving all and eat way too much food and root "Da Bears" on to victory

I have to time it just right to leave at halftime to get to my sisters house before the second half starts.

The dressing/stuffing is my favorite part of the meal but its all good.

Not to brag, and although I love both my sisters-in-law, I make much better gravy than either of them (thanks, Mom). But they feed me, so I don't try to take over.

I bought 3lbs of broccoli salad and a 2 1/2 lb cake for today's festivities.

Mom, Me, brother and his 2 sons. Ate 2 whole plates.

It occurred to me that I'm the crazy uncle. Not deplorable crazy. Bachelor, never married, loner crazy. I think I'm ok with that.

Mom used to make a dark, roasting pan gravy. Not quite up to it these days.
Today's gravy was ok. Everything was good enough that gravy wasn't required.

Oh, I'm definitely the crazy uncle, but that's because my two brothers are nearly sane. Dinner with one brother, two nephews, one married, the other dragging along new girlfriend, and sister-in-law's cousin and wife, and my three month old great niece. Then went to other brother's where my nieces, two great nieces, brother's mother-in-law, brother-in-law and family, and a couple others were there. Sat around drinking espresso martinis before driving home. Miss my own kids, though.

Not sure if this is unusual or not. But if there was anyone in this thread that I would first like to meet in real life it is daveT. Not that there is an overwhelming affinity but he confounds me and makes me curious.
