So... last week, I dropped into a spot I'm pretty regular at. I didn't go for nearly two months.

I'm talking to the entertainment for the night and he says "Guess who was here last week?"

Anyhow, he then tells me about Thanksgiving and invites me to his shindig. Of course I'm allowed to bring a Plus One.

"Dude, I'm not going to contact that girl. She was here last week, why didn't you invite her then? Or, I don't know, send her a message on whatever social media you two are on?"

He says that it's impersonal to do that. I tell him that a lot of the reason I don't come around much is because I always have to hear about her. Do you give her **** every time she comes?

Today, I send him a text... "I invited her."

I think you ought to propose and be done with it. Too much drama and aggravation as things stand now.

Bad suggestion. You can't be assured of a "No." Such things keep me from asking.

It takes two to drama. It also takes actually speaking to someone once over the course of 3 months. Nothing good or bad ever happened at all.
