I went to the Tate Gallery at the weekend, and there's a painting there I've liked for some time, called Trial and Error, by an artist called Meredith Frampton, and when I get home I discover that this is the goddamn forgotten genius of British art!

His work seems like a combination of DeChirico and Vogue. I like it.

Bad rains and flooding in NW Oregon, including Portland, and especially along the north coast. Town of Neskowin on coast is mentioned. Wonder if Ray’s hideaway is ok.

rays is up hill of the tsunami zone.

its not as bad as the news sensationalized it. it just got the neskowin campground.
and low lying roads and stuff. which seem to get it every big rainfall.

they had king tides around this time also.

but 20 people were evacuated from the RV park...thought for sure that's where your place was.
the only real impact in PDX is fools trying to drive through flooded roads and overall traffic snarl due to californians getting their first real dose of driving during an atmospheric river.
the closest rain gauge to my location shows 3.6" for Thurs & Fri. hasn't rained at all today, but it's supposed to start back up tomorrow night.

A Miami story:

I go to a gas station and, to my surprise, they have a coffee bar inside. Some dude who speaks English sees me walking around totally lost and asks me what I want. A coffee with cream and sugar. He says something like "cafe americano con crema y azúcar." The two women mix up the coffee, and one shows me and says "okay?"

uh... sure, I suppose so? An Americano is the kind of coffee that puts some extra hair on your chest, and I wasn't sure what I was getting.

I go in the next day and do my best to reach into the little Spanish I could remember. I used to be functional, not fluent, but able to say more than a bunch of curse words. The lady behind the counter, some true exotica of unknown origin, takes my order. She's on the phone, speaking Spanish, listening to some Latin music, and hands back my coffee, saying something or the other in Spanish.

Today, I go and no one is at the coffee bar. I grab coffee in a can and take to the counter. Lady Exotica is taking money, and she says, in perfect English: "How are you doing today?"

uh... yes, okay. This is something I remember from many years ago. They speak Spanish first, and if you at least try, they'll speak English back to you, often more fluent and accurate than I can speak myself.

Yes, California gets 3 inches of rain a year. There are more car wrecks in 30 minutes of sprinkles than the rest of the year.

Thanks! Even with those instructions it took me a minute to figure it out. There is a special place in hell for software developers who change stuff for the sake of change and especially when it comes to defaults with no explanation.

Both of those things are true. I’m an outward bound graduate and spent months in the most beautiful part of America. We hiked approx 200 miles over the course of this camp. It was in the part where North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia all meet. It is the 3rd most common setting for dreams I have after a distorted high school and a grandiose exaggerated Virginia Beach ( I spent a lot of time in Virginia Beach as a teenager) The forest is more lush in that area than the rest of the east. Huge trees bears mountains, rivers lakes. I climbed the tallest mountain east of the Mississippi, mount mitchell.

As for vegans you must understand that I never had a single piece of meat until I was 13. And never beef until I was 17. I drifted in that direction on my own.
In my personal life vegans have been very uncaring about my issues despite superficial support.

I was also hinting at a possible invitees my own way, though my friends in Florida live in the north , Orlando and Jacksonville , my sister is a millionaire and owns real estate in Florida. I privately found it funny that my sister and her friends play in bigger games than ray zee is invited too.

Hahahahahahaha , anyway was just trying to chat.

Also , my drivers lisence hearing was a very high stakes hearing I’m super happy to win that one.

Good luck in Miami daveT.

Also , one thing is I’ve been working on a project and to actually make this project work .... you have to beckme a bit of a nerd

I, yes, me am learning a programming language. I’m not going to tell you which language it is but a snake is involved.
