Agree with Messiah...used a few BB shirts for work. Decent, but their slim fit is stil rather loose, especially in the arms, and I see no reason why they all have to be so long.

I love my slim-fit Pink shirts. They're designed to be worn in both business and casual settings, and they feel and look great. Obv. More expensive than some of the other common shops like Brooks and Banana, but it's nice not having the collar ruined and material fading after just a few uses.

I've only bought their regular French cuff shirts, but the non-iron slim "Traveller" line for $110 looks like a good option as well.

If you tuck your shirt in you won't have to worry about length and it looks alot better anyway.

What are some good hats to wear in summertime? I feel like Panama hats, straw fedoras, etc. all look either douchey or something my grandpa would wear, but all that leaves me with is baseball caps.

Edit: Some Trilbies look ok. Thinking less this...

and more this...

Or maybe an Ivy cap...

Thoughts?

We're having a party with a whorehouse theme (excuse for the girls to dress as complete sluts), and I need to figure out what to wear. Apparently they don't let you in necessarily, if you're not dressed suitably for the event. I just don't feel comfortable going shirtless, all greased up, as some guys do (or so the girls told me) - and I wouldn't look good. I wouldn't like to go all costume party either. Any ideas? I'm thinking of just trying to do a bit of an over the top look with some jeans+boots, dress shirt with like half of the buttons open, and a jacket on top of it. Maybe my grandpa's old fur coat, so it looks a bit more pimpish?

Yes def wear the fur coat.

Then white or maybe some ridic hawai-printed button up, red/violet pants, lots of bling, sunglasses and a hat

Red pants would be cool... I need to get a pair. Guess I'll go shopping. Add to that either a red rose, or a puffy red pocket square. Also thought that some ridic print shirt would go nicely.

Will try and post pics here then, if I can come up with a random enough outfit.

I hear good things though. I really like some Aldens but I think they are out of my price range.
Update: Ended up getting two of these--burgundy and black. Were on a slight sale at the time. Like them a lot so far.

for a Fall/Winter shoe I really like these actually

Allen Edmonds Bayfield. high quality chromexcel leather, solidly built, classic style, practical sole for the winter. on sale right now for $300
AE's on sale today from Lands End, including this Bayfield boot.

Use code WARMANDCOOL with the pin 5429 to get 40 percent off highest priced item in cart with free shipping at 50 dollars spent.

I got the boots for $212. they also have other shoes like Strands with the same discount. but I think the Bayfields with chromexcel leather are pretty sweet, and a great deal at $210 (retail = $350)

i would purchase that boot now but i just don't like the rubber sole, it's a great price though, shame LE has such limited selection for AEs

depends on your usage of course. this is a boot that will be fine in the rain/mud/snow/ice but also look perfectly fine in all non formal situations. if you want something formal, not a great choice...but I've realized having a sole like this is just really practical. I can wear it almost all year w/ anything besides a suit

Found myself a pair of red slacks. Atm plan is to add a turquoise dress shirt, grey blazer, red pocket squade, fur coat, and brown leather chuckas.

Hey EDF fashion gurus, I could do with some guidance on wedding attire.

Parameters: Weather is going to be hot, Indonesia, 90 degrees with high humidity. Invite specifies cocktail attire, ceremony is outside at 4 pm. The wedding is costing around $400-$500 per head - although I'm not sure if this is a good indication of what's expected formality wise.

This is what I've come up with so far. Seersucker pants white with blue stripe, salmon shirt, kinda grey lightweight jacket. Greenish grey shoes. Tie or no tie? What colour? Wasn't planning on wearing a belt but mainly out of laziness. If belt needed, what colour?
I like the idea of a straw hat.

I'm a pretty prolific sweater so will most likely lose the jacket at the soonest opportunity.

I like the combo, but shirt sleeves are way too long.

Cool, will be wearing cufflinks. Is the no socks acceptable or bad etiquette?

Can you suggest something with a similar look / cost that will last?

Don't see why it would be bad etiquette. It's hot.
