Alright, in my compulsive Express sale shopping I got two dress shirts. One is yellow. Somewhere between the outside of a banana and the inside of a banana.

The other is orange. The color is what I would call "halloween orange."

what the f can I wear these with? Helpful answers are 'preciated.

Return them. Serious answer.

This.

I like the 1MX shirts for convenience and price, but they make them in about 147361386 more colors than necessary. Saw a hot pink one in store a few months ago that almost burned my retinas out.

Return them and buy socks, or save the store credit for a wearable item. Why are you wearing stuff just because it's cheap?

I understand your thinking as I used to do it myself (impulse buying stuff that is a "great deal") but there's no reason to buy neon orange shirts. Don't buy stuff and then go "WTF do I wear this with?!" do literally the exact opposite

Google seems to think grey pants is the answer, looked decent enough.
I like the bright colors, just don't know how to match anything, but I guess the life lessons/twitter knowledgebombs are good too, even though I didn't ask for them.

I have a yellow dress shirt. But it's a standard light yellow (not loud). I wear it with brown/taupe pants. I'm actually going to wear it today with khaki pants and a heather v-neck merino wool sweater over it.

Got some Clarks desert Mali boots for my birthday recently. Though the crepe sole is comfy as hell, the lightness of the crepe ends up due to it's dirt accumulation; more importantly, it's terrible in inclement weather. So, given I didn't buy them, I felt less like an ******* putting 50 bucks into a sole swap. I asked for a lower profile lug, like AE's Bayfield, and the results are annoying:

After looking at them some more, I'm not as ticked as I was when I first picked them up, but I'm still unhappy. Ideally I wanted the type of sole on the Bayfield or the Red Wing Beckman, so I'm hoping they'll grow on me.

Get them. Wolverine has a great rep in both style and quality, and the Addison's Tan is a fine color. (I'm waiting for a tan pair to go on the cheap so I can snag them and experiment with some Allen Edmonds' walnut or bourbon shoe cream on them)

I think the wingtip with no broguing looks bad. Couple that with the loud color and they're definitely not my favorites.

Wolverine 1000 mile in general are great boots though. Try to avoid stuff from the gentleman, gentry, and garrison collections if you can as these are lower quality and made in China.

What does everybody think of this deal?

Is the brand good quality? And is 150 a deal? I know nothing about jackets.

Well, I went 11 days without buying anything this year. But then I really liked this tie!

IMO there are only 3 scenarios where spend $90 on a tie is a good idea.

1. It's a gift
2. You wear a tie very regularly (at least twice a week)
3. You have fewer than 5 ties and none of them are close to the color you're considering

I mean if you can pick up an essentially new Zegna tie on Newbury St for $40, impulse buying ties online for $90 just seems weak.

How are BB ties at $40 each? They're my default brand for when I want to look like Frasier.

Yeah, I just want a jacket that I can wear with jeans and slacks and not have to take off when I go inside somewhere. But any blazer/jean combo seems douchey as hell.

wut. Nice pair of jeans, white v neck + a nice blazer is the easiest setup for clothes and you always look good enough to go out.

Yeah, I'm weird with my tastes. I just don't like the look of a jacket with jeans. Same goes for tucking your shirt in with a pair of jeans, and polo shirts in general. Jos A Banks has a sale for jackets, so maybe I'll pick a cheap one and see if I change my mind.

Jeans/blazer = just no
Jeans/sports coat = maybe

It just depends on the coat. It needs to be a more casual jacket. Some tweeds work fine with jeans and boots, most worsted stuff looks awful. Case by case.

Wat. No.

JCrew factory or the ilk for a sub $100 jacket.

Figuring out if you like wearing jackets based on a JAB one would be like figuring out if you like women based on banging Roseanne Barr.

What do you guys do for dress shirts? Considering I wear one every day with a tie. Mine are starting to show wear (and I lost an elbow today).
