Has anyone used the aeron and the leap for a long amount of time? I sat in a new and a used leap today. A new one would be $800 and about $330 for a used one. The used one seemed quite a bit less comfortable. It looks like the aeron is built from much higher quality materials, and really looks to be built to last. I don't know if you could really say the same for the leap. I loved both chairs and ended up buying a used aeron for $630, but I'm thinking about buying the used leap and returning one of them.
Basically, it seems that the leap is a bit more comfortable, but I don't know if it offers as much back support, or if it will last as long. Any input? Is a used aeron really worth 2x as much as the leap?
I'll try find a generation used, but I'm really not trying to spend a ton on a chair. Sitting in this stupid aeron thinking about how uncomfortable / how much is cost is quite tilting.
still have my herman miller embody after 3 or 4 years and i shudder to think how much extra money this chair has made me via less fatigue and back pain
Anyone knows where to order the Leap Worklounge in Europe? Seems like Steelcase doesn't offer it anywhere in Europe for sale. Also cannot find it on ebay and Amazon.com won't ship it.
I do have the Embody and it is a good chair. However, I have very long legs and I basically always lie back. I feel like I rather want a chair which is like a sofa.
Aeron Chair is always been a good one! Though, Steelcase Leap Chair looks pretty badass as well, it's fully adjustable and moves with you. Really cool.
just wanted to say that i have the herman miller mirra 2 chair and its great.
I've literally set it on one position and never changed it. It doesnt squeek ever when i get up and i dont get the same back pain that i used to get with other chairs.
i've sat in the embody before and i think this is better. the arms feel better on this chair and the mesh is nice.
Consensus on best chair for 200-400$??
Tired of my ass hurting halfway through a session, my arms not reaching to the armrests unless i slouch and just overall bad posture.
So I just picked up a "Raynor nefil Elite Smart Motion Mesh Managers" chair for about $400 at staples. The best I've tried. I use a "Humanscale Different World" chair at my desk for work, in addition to a "Steelcase Think" chair in conference rooms. My nefil elite is over half the price, and more comfortable.

It's best to wait 6+ months before reviewing a chair. I've bought a few chairs from Staples that were amazing at the store and the first few weeks. Garbage in <2 years.
