Hey guys, I just bought embody with white frame titanium casters and rhythm textile fabric.
I found the rhythm fabric more comfortable than the balance fabric.. more soft and comforting.. it's kinda weird though.. is that possible? at 1st decided to go with the balance favric but it was less comfortable.. weird is that only me?
Interesting. I didn't try the less expensive one on the Embody but I do have it on my saddles seat. I did try the more expensive one on the Embody. It has more body to it and is cushier... but hey whatever feels good to you.
I have been using a bunch of different sufaces to play on lately, and this one is killing my back. I need somethng that has a sick level of lower back support (sticks far into my lower back and keeps my posture 10000000x better) and is mesh.
I was surprised to find that there is a cloth version of the Markus for $50 less, that seems functionally equivalent in every way, and that I felt was somehow slightly more comfortable than the leather. I spent the $50 on a rug I am very pleased with.
I just picked up a lightly used Herman Miller Reaction on craigslist for $100. It's an older model that seems to be roughly comparable to the Equa XR that's currently being sold at Costco. So far I couldn't be happier with it considering the price.
wondering if anyone has sat in a leap and a leather leap. I'm trying to figure out one is best. my roomate has the mesh one and it's awesome. I think i'm gonna do 30 day trial of leather one.

Guys is there a good chair which is pretty popular, so I could buy it in my country (Latvia) and not too expensive, I think ~300$ would be the limit. But obv if there's a big leap from 300 to 400 quality wise than I can consider spending more... Any recommendations ?
Thanks
Oh, and if this matters I spend about 10 hours daily in my chair. (now I sit on wooden garden type chair, lol, my back hurts)
im in the market for a new chair so i read through this entire thread and am now leaning towards the steelcase worklounge. the consensus seems to be that all of the other chairs are good, but that the worklounge is about as good as you would expect a $2700 chair to be. i dont like wasting money, but at the same time i spend a lot of time in my chair and will probably have this chair for a long time. can anyone with personal experience push me off the fence one way or another?
i currently have something like the ikea chair and HATE it. i think i would like an aeron, etc., but i really feel like id love the steelcase.
also, do you guys think buying online is a bad idea? should i really be sitting in this ahead of time or can i take everyones word on it? seems kind of hard to find stores that carry it.
yeah. $2700 for a chair to be bought site unseen.... that's a lot of money. go sit in a chair, or go buy from a reseller who will allow a 30 day return and handle it for you.
if you think you would like the aeron, you might really like the embody. i was pretty impressed when i sat in it.
you might also want to think about an adjustable height desk. the most ergonomic thing is to move around a lot, so you could alternate periods of sitting and standing. i have a geek desk and i like it, but it is very long, limiting the places i can put it. they sell a smaller version too. oh yeah, assembly was a bit of a hassle, especially if you're a perfectionist as there are no preset guides drilled into the desk.
