for you too young, he was the first skyjacker and got away with it. great story and great to be around when it all happened.

as much a mystery as who was behind the killing of kennedy.

much of the evidence pointed to robert rickshaw as being him. likely was.
that person died a few days ago.

I don't believe anything you say anymore, Ray.

You are worse than John and his peanut-butter martinis.

I remember the B.D. Cooper escapade, they redesigned the Boeing Jet he jumped out of just because of him. His contribution to a more wholesome and safe society. Part of his money was found washed up in the Columbia River. His bones are rotting nearby.

Just Oswald.

FYI, I have a mildly personal stake in the issue. My now-deceased father was a staff attorney on the warren commission, and spent a year and a half interviewing marina Oswald, drafting sections of the report, arguing with colleagues, and other such activities.

Not sure why that wouldn't be the expectation.

I've always enjoyed the legend of D.B. Cooper. RIP.

I'm not a conspiracy guy, and I'm 99.5% convinced Oswald was the trigger man. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1492911/

However, I have a hard time believing that Oswald randomly gets shot before he can get to trial by a connected guy who himself dies of cancer before he can go to trial.

Sure, it's possible he acted alone, but JFK had a lot of enemies.

I think D.B. Cooper is alive and well in Montana playing low buy-in bar poker.

he was the first and the greatest with what he did. another bonnie and clyde type of thing.
you might be surprised doc that in montana not all the games are low stakes. even as tight as you play you might find a few 5000 dollars evenings.

You have to wonder if he survived and they caught him, would he be as famous as he was (is?).

I'd imagine ol' DB can afford it.

You are probably right.

While they caught Manson, his group did something much more memorable than Cooper.

And how many young people know who the Unibomber is? If you ask, I bet most would answer Phil Laak instead of Teddy K.

unibomber was about an hour or so drive away from me. after he got caught i was trying to find out how to buy his cabin. thought that would be cool and worth something. but the feds grabbed it and that was that.

they never could figure out why he signed his letters F.C.

i knew instantly it was f+++k computers. as he was sending his bombs to tech companies. and it turned out he hated the world turning in that direction. it seems no one figured it out as i never saw it in print.
