So, the Sarah Brightman version of this has been on any 'relaxing-playlist' I've ever made for as long as I can remember and since I've been zoning out after the first few lines I've always interpreted it as a song about a woman fondly remembering a past love.

Just in the past few days though, the line "tell him to find me an acre of land (...) between salt water and the sea strands" suddenly started bugging me because... well... how's the poor guy gonna do that?

And having studied the text closer, and without her voice to paralyze me, it turns out it's actually a song about a sad old ***** wanting someone else to taunt someone she once had a relationship to because he'll never get her.

Srsly - wtf?

Someone did a cover/satire version of Who needs the Peace Corps? by Frank Zappa & it's very amusing & I know that for a fact. But no trace of it on Google, apparently. Strange. I wonder if anyone here knows of it.

I think it was done by Frank Zappa. If I remember right, he re-recorded it 20 years later with a different vocalist.
