according to Wiki there are 170 different versions of this song - Lloyd Price had a huge hit with it - but this is my fave
it's based on a true incident in 1895 - a man named Lee Shelton - nicknamed Stack O Lee - shot and killed Billy Lyons because Billy stole his Stetson hat -
quite impressive finger picking from Mr. Hurt

i've just started watching youtube footage from the american folk blues festival, aka folk festival of the blues.
that stuff is fantastic
still trying to sleuth the rhythm section in the video above, but no success
