and one by someone named Jo Ann Kelly, who i just discovered on youtube a day ago. she has really amazing voice, exactly how blues should be sung - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gsQXvZzNNY
A great harp player , and sometimes on the 60s Folk circuit, Rev. Dan Smith. Doesn't fit into the homogeneity of modern blues harp, but when he played it was difficult to sit still.
I don't know if it is available on netflix, but any Mance Lipscomb fans should try to watch A Well Spent Life, if only to smell the fried chicken.
saw this not too long ago. really amazing documentary. gives u great insight into mance and the town he lived in. very vivid portrait of the place and great music.
I am a huge buddy guy fan and have never heard that album. Getting my hands on it now
Live at the Checkerboard Lounge is one of my favorites of his. Buddy is a great bluesman, and a lot of fun to watch, hopefully I'll get around to going to one of his shows someday.
