I believe that's Muddy Waters on guitar.

R.L. Burnside from the wayback machine

check out R.L.'s kid keeping the beat in this one...even the woman near the end patting the baby on the shoulder is ahead of the beat.

and his wife with the seven mile stare...

check out the videos from the Alan Lomax archives...all sorts of music but it's all very raw and honest.

so happy you posted the Bloody Sunday Session video.
there's something about great musicians being forced to strip down to their essence that just lets their musical brilliance shine.
for those that haven't seen them, so many other Bloody Sunday Session videos are worth watching.

Duane Allman and Eric Clapton in 1970. soundboard ops just left the mic open and kept the tape running while they were jamming in the studio...and this is what we get.

that Little Junior song is delicious.

here's the one man band Doctor Ross (The Harmonica Boss) from the early 50's

and a rare video of him playing from the 60's. that Little Junior song Feelin' Good is what made me think of him.

and of course, Cat Squirrel (also covered by Jethro Tull on 'This Was' and Cream on 'Fresh Cream')

great song and a version i haven't heard before.

this is what is familiar to me with a different pace.

that JLH Ultimate Collection is a great listen.

and of course

famously covered by the Allman Brothers Band...Live at Ludlow is the best version i know.

I've been racking my brains about this, but I'd swear I had never heard of Doctor Ross the Harmonica Boss before REDeYe posted this. What a find! POTY!

And any buskers out there, note how Dr. Ross always keeps the air vibrating -- no dead space at all.
