Flea's first tiny part, in The Outsiders, predates RHCP.

re: Jeff Bridges

If you haven't seen Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, worth a see as Clint's little buddy.

Absolutely. And Fat City is another criminally under seen 70s movie (John ****ing Huston, mother ****ers) with a tremendously natural young Bridges performance.

I'm not a fan of RHCP. Team mr bungle for life.

Flea gets some great parts and has been in tons of movies. My own private Idaho is a favorite.

Fat City is n my top 5 of John Huston films. Amazing... Possibly the greatest boxing movie ever.

I can't say enough about how much I love Fat City, but it's not on Netflix so maybe I'll wait for another thread.

Pretty great TV. Maybe in my top 20 TV dramas.

Few things recently

No-no, A documentary about Dock Ellis (baseball player) was somewhat interesting but did not keep my attention and I am a huge baseball fan. B-

Chef's Table is a really cool documentary series exclusive to Netflix, if you have any interest in that sort of thing.

Chef is an awesome movie

Supermensch was very entertaining.

Kingpin from that show is just so good; probably in my top three comicbook villains ever. Still kinda irritates me that it takes the entire series before DD gets a superhero costume.

Finally got around to watching season 3 of House of Cards. Meh. I feel like I should like this show more than I do. But I don't. I think part of the problem is, is that there are no likeable characters. I thought season one was pretty good but that it has declined since. I just don't like the Underwoods, the people who work for the Underwoods or even the people who oppose the Underwoods.

If you felt that way in season1, I could see thinking you should like it if you don't. But in regards to season3, not liking it makes total sense. Its on the cusp of being dropped for me, but I doubt I will.

The season one story just seemed better and more interesting. But yeah, if I don't watch the next season its no big deal to me. The fact that it is Netflix and it will be there means it will probably get watched sometime when mired in boredom. Part of the reason I waited to watch season 3 is that I just wasn't excited about knowing what was next.

I rushed through season 2 because I didn't want to be spoiled. I rushed through season 3 just to get it over with. That ain't good

Season 2 got too ridiculous but it was still interesting to me. Season 3 was not good. I liked the first half and I liked how Frank is trying to create a legacy, but the side stories are not that interesting (and a bit ridiculous).

Just watched The Starving Games which is a low budget, ridiculous over the top satire of The Hunger Games. A lot of it missed but a lot of it hit and I had plenty of genuine laughs from this one. I really enjoyed it and I think was in the perfect mood to watch something as stupid as this was. It is definitely better than The Hunger Games!

Over the past 4 days I have stormed through all 13 episodes of Bloodline. It was very good, strong cast, compelling story, beautiful scenery. Lots of flashbacks, flash forwards and hallucinatory type visions. It would be annoying to "not" marathon because every episode ends with some sort of cliffhanger or mystery.

I thought it started very strongly but by the end I thought it was losing steam. It is wide open for a season 2 but I'm not sure I'm looking forward to that. But who knows? It seemed like a very strong one season and done story and where it goes from here will probably annoy me.

I'm surprised Netflix hasn't hyped this more. It is way better than House of Cards and maybe even Orange is the New Black. But like I said I think future seasons will probably not match the first as where the story goes from here will probably be frustrating to my viewing tastes.

bloodline:

Spoiler:
I would like to see season 2 be a prequel as it would be a real shame to lose danny.

I would love that!

Spoiler:
But with the kid showing up and the detective nosing around it seems like it will be soapy schlock. I hope I'm wrong
