Are they? I couldn't find them on the site.

I downloaded them.

I watched most of season 4.0 on Scifi's website. Older eps and the webisodes must be obtained by more illicit means, however (what chip said).

oh, and Tigh's eye-ectomy was never explicitly shown.

OK, I hate Starbuck again...what is she DOING to my eye candy Lee? She broke his heart.

Oh, and I watch all of the epis online - and a certain u to the tube has all of the webisodes too. The site where I watch the epis online has Razor too so I won't need your copy Dom...but thanks for the offer.

Razor was so utterly "meh" I can't begin to describe it. Back with Pegasus/Resurrection Ship Caine was almost a war criminal but more or less correct in her actions. Razor just made her a loon.

Yeah, thanks for that.

I have an addictive personality...it's nauseatingly easy to get me hooked on something...Dexter, Lost, the Hills....just a few of my current addictions...sigh

Razor had implied Human/Cylon lesbian sex. I give it thumbs up.

Finally watched the this season nearly straight through. I gotta say it was bad ass. I loved the way they handled the final four, very mature. Most other shows would use that as some cheap device to tweak some more drama. They dealt with it in a quintessential BSG fashion. Really felt for Taul, too.

Also, this season cements my feeling that Baltar is far and away the most fascinating character. His arc is tremendous, and while they convey a genuine change in him, they still keep a bit of his pretension even as a Christ-like figure.

I sincerely hope this picks up steam upon its return. I'm now bitterly disappointed in this show; particularly considering how DAMN good it was for three seasons.
Considering they were going to arrive at earth at the half-way point of the season finale, you had to expect it was going to be messed up, especially when everybody started celebrating.

I just hope they don't end on travesty. The show is about survival and hope, they don't need to end with roses and puppy dogs, just end with hope.

I was nearly dying when he trying to connect with the hybrid. "heeeeyyy, lets just calm down, ok?"

But you gotta admit, in season 3.5 during his trial, the "Buttah fingahs!" line he yelled to Gaeta was priceless in delivery.

Just watched Razor, so finally about to embark on season 4, and after that actually go back and read this thread without worrying about spoilers...

Razor.... I can't remember exactly what happened to the Pegasus in the end. I think I remember Lee commanding it after Fisk died (I think), but who the hell took charge of it when it left the fleet again? Or did it get destroyed?

My memory is going, ldo.

I just watched this - Lee still had charge of it when the Admiral and he went back to New Caprica to rescue the colonists. In order to shield Galactica, the Pegasus was taking heavy fire and in the end they had to abandon ship. They sent the Pegasus into the Cylon base ships and everything went kablueey.

Found an answer to my question:

Ron D. Moore stated in an interview with TheFandom.com, "There is no original human Sharon. The idea is not that there was likely an original human model that they were copied from. The idea was that these models of Cylon were sort of developed out of their own study of us. The Cylons on some level looked at humanity and said 'You know what? There's really only 12 of you.' If these are the 12, and sort of if you look at them they each represent different archetypes of what humanity is."

Oh...and I think we should place bets on who the final Cylon is....I have a pretty good guess who I think it is...

sure, I'll go with the obvious: Baltar. What are we wagering?

Razor gave a big hint about who the final cylon is, but it doesn't make logical sense.

I'll say no more, unless someone wants to discuss it in spoilers.

okay some stuff about the potential last cylon. Bear in mind I haven't seen any of season 4 yet, so this may be ridiculous to those that have.

Spoiler:

In Razor, the young Adama finds the strange resurrection room, and clearly has some flashback/memory of being there before. Doesn't that indicate he's a cylon?

Damnit, diebitter, you're spoiling my guess.

OK, booked with Dom some kind of a wager.

I say: Admiral Adama
Doms says: Baltar

Oh and eternal bragging rights are implied as part of the wager.

Well, of those 3, and based on the information that the cylons picked 12 archetypes, only 1 seems to be a basic human archetype to me...

It actually might be more interesting to go through the known Cylons and see what archetypes they represent.

However...

Baltar - The traitor, later, The false prophet
Roslyn - The leader, later, The prophet
Starbuck - The anti-Hero, later, The guide
Apollo - The hero, later, The leader
Helo - The idealist
Adama - The soldier

IMHO, it has to be one of these 6 as they're the only characters prominent enough this last season. ie; if it was going to be Geata or Dualla they wouldn't have faded into the background so much.

I still think it's Apollo as it makes the most sense for his arc, which is a pretty textbook hero's journey. Particularly with a lot of the subtexts being about the duality of Humans and Cylons and the synthesis of the two (hybrids). Apollo then becomes the hero and leader in both the Human and Cylon cycles.

I don't think it can be either Roslyn or Baltar. In Roslyn's case, why would a Cylon get cancer? There's a convention in the series that Cylons can't be detected (which is redic) but they're not human and have displayed superhuman capabilities.

Baltar is not Cylon for a couple reasons. He's spent way too much time angsting about being a Cylon to actually turn out to be one. In addition, he's part of the repeated theme of Human+Cylon duality. Baltar+6 means that Baltar is human. Particularly all the visions of Baltar+6+hybrid as Adam&Eve.

We know Helo is not a Cylon because his child is a hybrid. (And now that Galen is known to be a Cylon, why has nobody gone "Holy crap, another hybrid?")

One argument in favour of Adama based on this is that he's the only one who's archetype has not evolved. But I'm not convinced the writers on this show are really looking at this that deeply.

"They have a plan"

We've been told this at the start of every episode for years.

So, what is that plan?

The original plan of the "overt" Cylon faction (6 et al) is obviously to destroy the human race. Some of these Cylons still follow this plan, others have changed the plan and seek reconciliation.

But is that the true plan? If that is the true plan then what is the purpose of the "covert" Cylon faction? Why the schism? Certainly the "covert" faction has had ample opportunity to destroy mankind, even just by making a bad decision. Particularly if the last Cylon is any of Adama, Roslyn or Apollo.

It seems pretty clear that the real plan is to merge Human and Cylons (hybrids, Id, Ego, Super Ego, yada yada).

So I think that when it comes to figuring out who the last Cylon is, this is key. Which character will further this agenda the most?

I don't think you can count out Gaeta.

It seemed to me that the last few episodes of this half-season were dropping hints that he was the last cylon. In particular, his constant humming/singing of a tune similar to the song that awakened the final four.

IMO the writers aren't trying to set up the final cylon as some massive jaw-dropper, but rather as something that will really make sense with whatever turns out to be the real connection between cylons and humans.

I'm not sure how he would fit into to the archetype argument, but it should be noted that the final four were all people who played secondary leadership roles in the human military/political system - and no one is more present as a second in command then Gaeta.

Also, at this point the cast is well-developed enough that any of the major characters would have suitable shock value.
