This thread makes me want to watch the mini series, which means I'll probably get sucked into watching all of BSG again

+1, especially considering my wife hasn't seen the show.

It's a pilot made for a BG prequel series. Series development has been in limbo at SyFy for over a year.

I hope this is good. Scifi prequels have a bad track record.

I just finished my second viewing of the entire series. It was close in style to mimicking that skit from Portlandia but I did manage to keep my job and my electricity on The best part about the second viewing was that I had forgotten so many events that each episode became suspenseful again. The show is easily still ranked as one of the best I have ever seen. Bump it up for Starbuck Yo!

Ya for some reason I hated the ending first time around. I had chilled out a lot on second viewing and enjoyed the ambiguity more. Probably due to the cluster**** of an ending that was Lost. In comparison BSG ending was brilliant.

I rewatched it all probably six months ago now but haven't been able to bring myself to watch the last 5 or so episodes just because I'm still so bummed about the end.

I was about 1/2 through the last season (2nd viewing) when Hulu Plus dropped it 5 or 6 weeks ago, haven't looked for another way to finish it off because I remember the ending being a major letdown as well, but that was several years ago and the posts above might inspire me to go ahead and give it another shot.

The first season IMO was the greatest, all the tension between the characters hating each other. Then the gravity of the situation settling in. Basically cliffhangers all throughout the seasons. I'm gonna rewatch the show having read this thread.

It's been a few years for me, but yeah season 1 was just fantastic. I should rewatch soon.

I really liked it. Season 3/4 got a bit too Losty for my tastes though.

I was still intrigued and moved throughout the series.

i just rewatched this for the second time through. Rushed through seasons 1&2. took 2 months off and came back and grinded seasons 3&4 much more slowly.

I actually like the content of season 3 as they really hit on specific issues... just not as entertaining as the action packed earlier seasons.

Brilliant show

I really liked the ending. They had to get there and they made it unique and sadly fulfilling, much like the show throughout it's run.

I quit on that longass boring 1st episode of the final season, and I'm very confident I took the very best of BSG and left the rest. I won.

seems more like you went through 3 years of high school and quit right before you got your diploma. waste of time.

i felt the end provided good closure to the series but can understand why some dont like it.

Yea I don't understand the hate for the ending. I wished they explained Starbuck more and who she was, but I didn't think it was a terrible ending. An odd ending for sure, but not terrible.

I found it simply illogical to abandon all their technology believing that to be the key to breaking the cycle. Seemed rather stupid to me.

BSG's finest hours, by far imo, were the last part of season 2 and the first part of season 3.

I would have liked it better if it wasn't present day they showed but like 3000 BC. They're knowledge and tech would of advanced everything at such a rapid rate. Or show present day looking like their present day or something.

Didn't really like the ending thought it was just eh, but it wasn't bad enough for me to not like the season or show.

Well the civilization needed a fresh start, so I didn't see an issue destroying all of their tech.
