Post your favorite b-side/rare songs. One song per artist!

I'll get it started with Tom Petty's "Waiting for Tonight".

Revolution was the B side to Hey Jude. I still have the 45.

When I was a senior in high school the school had added senior lounge to the cafeteria area where the senior class would eat lunch fully equipped with a juke box. This little ditty played almost every day as it was the flip side of Let it Be

Another very popular flip side was that of Proud Mary by Ike and Tina

I think Nine Inch Nails had much better music in their albums than their hits. It's very hard to pick just one, so I'll pick this interesting rendition of A Warm Place called llum Tangendo featuring Stella Soliel:

I won't copy / paste the rambling yet really cool story surrounding this piece, but here is a link: https://sistersoleil1.bandcamp.com/t...y-trent-reznor

There are other posts on YouTube. The most "popular" is 8 years old with 80k views. That's totally unheard of for NIN, so I guess this is rare.

Enjoy!

Reptile on the back half of Downward Spiral is my favorite NiN song.

I don't think Reptile is all that rare. Here's a David Bowie w/ NIN live version.

Yeah, I saw this concert, and yes, it goes down as being among the best I've ever seen.

Here's one from Smashing Pumpkins called Frail & Bedazzled from the relatively unknown B-Sides album called Pisces Ascariot. The album did go platinum, but being squeezed between Saimese Dream and Melon Collie, this album was quickly ignored and forgotten. Everyone I know that likes Pumpkins likes this album. The main single was their cover of Landslide.

It is hard to pick just one song from this album. It's also hard to pick just one rarer song from this entire band.

In the early days almost all Beatles flip sides were just as popular/good as the featured side. I'll take I Saw Her Standing There over I Wanna Hold Your Hand all day long.

I was never really into 45s though, just a tad too young as the album revolution was happening as I got interested in music.

I've still got my Hound Dog/Don't be Cruel record, but it's not a 45.

Who remembers Jewel Kilcher? After her break out debut album Pieces of You, Spirit did pretty meh by "only" selling 4 million albums. The next album was pretty much a total flop, only for the hardcore to care about, barely eeking past 1 million copies over the next 10 years.

Standing below 20,000 YouTube views, this one isn't exactly her most well-known song, though many fans would place it among their faves.

This will probably be one of the few blues posts that I'll make. It's well-known around here that the blues isn't my favorite genre. To honor this unusual post, I will post two wonderful pieces of music.

Remember when Eric Clapton and BB King came out with an album? I'm sure you'll be surprised to know that I bought that one. You won't be surprised to know that I consider this one of my wort-ever purchases.

Through the slop, this gem popped up, and I do love the piece.

For my second entry, you gotta love the music of old. It harkens back to a time of innocence, cute lulubies, and clean all-American lyrics. I'm sure they would quickly twist down the volume of today's music and cover their ears, demanding the censors sue all streaming services under some made-up vulgarity laws.

Here we see no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil.

(welcome to the rabbit hole of dirty blues. this is not safe for work, thus the direct link below)

Led Zeppelin Four Sticks

I think they only played it a handful of times in concert because the drumming was exceptionally difficult, even for John Bonham.
