Some analyst came on CNBC the other day and said that the actual value of a Prime membership was around $750 a year. For what I get and how much I use it I would tend to agree.

Yes, I've seen that. I'd say Crumb the movie is to American Splendor the movie what R Crumb the artist is to Harvey Pekar the artist. I do own a hard copy of American Splendor the greatest comic hits btw, some great stuff in there but some not so great.

No way in ****ing hell that Prime is worth $750 lol. I mean I'll probably end up re-upping out of sheer inertia, but i figure that buys me some old fashioned gripe time here on the internet!

Well my Prime expired a couple weeks ago, decided to wait and see how the Great Unwashed and the Third World make it without having all the good things of modern life. A sociological experiment. Going ok so far. I've noticed that I don't even watch all the stuff I want to on my Netflix already, so the Amazon videos aren't really a factor. The music either, I got youtube for that. It's all about the shipping for me at this point. They got a package to me for free in 6 days so that wasn't too horrible! Only had to get it over 25 bucks first.

I didn't renew on my last go-around.

Free shipping was nice, but I thought the video streaming had atrocious selection and the music was very hit or miss. Pissed me off that artists would randomly add then pull their catalog off Amazon's music service randomly.
