Fourth of July Parade yesterday was wonderful. Full Frontal Nudity and Free Candy tossed in your face – Small-town America at its best. See Pics below;

The best entry of the parade; series of three photos so you get the full effect:

Bonus: Best of the tractors:

A float honoring The Tick and a Porsche tractor. You left-coasters are weird.

It floats, invisible, within the ether.

bad enough i had to watch an hour long 4th parade then i got to look at pictures of someones else's parade. with a commentary no less.
i wish i had taken some pics so i could torture you.

but zeno, the ocean is totally flat. you could take your death trap out and get some crabs if you wanted. or go down to the slimy bar and get some as well.

parades are the nut low...I will never attend another parade again in my life. Waste of time.

Rodeos are worse than parades.

We had a 7.1 hit Southern California about 3 hours ago. It was in Death Valley, so everyone in the city is okay. It was shown on some NBA game in Las Vegas, so you can check out the shaking on YouTube if you want.

It doesn't seem like these fault lines are going to extend to LA or affect the San Andreas fault, but apparently there will likely be more after shocks coming along.

I drove through Trona, near the epicenter, a couple weeks ago. Good thing there's little there.

my cats in Vegas freaked out over it, and they stopped the WSOP for a bit, and they canceled basketball games at TMobile arena...swaying trusses in the rafters do not garner confidence.

Did you also feel the one on the 4th, Dominic?

That was closer to LA, so it was more intense over here. The one last night was light enough that, at first, no one even noticed. Everyone could still walk around and not fall over.

no, but my GF did...she has a few fish tanks, and they were sloshing

Barbra Streisand is playing her first gig in 27 years, in Hyde Park. She got stage fright, and this is her first open-air concert. How come Barbra Streisand is so big time?

I know, right? Streisand, Sinatra, Miles Davis, and the Beatles - all completely overrated.

Watch her in What's Up, Doc? or The Owl and The Pussycat. She's luminous. And she can sing a bit, too.

I have started playing golf again. For the first time in at least 20 years, I plan on playing five times this summer. It's fun again.
