I don't drink Starbucks. That stuff is nasty, plus the best bang-for-the-buck coffee is 7-11 @ $2 / 24oz with whatever you want to put in it, like French vanilla, chocolate and, if you are feeling really frisky, mini marshmallows.

Sadly, I don't wake up in time to do my French pressed coffee in the morning, so I drink the free Keurig mud at work every morning. It gets the job done, sort of.

cold brew is the ****.
water + coffee grounds + 24 hours in fridge
strain
3 minutes in the microwave
profit

Just because.

yea when i used to drink alot of coffee at home i made a pound of cold brew and kept it in the fridge. just a small amount ,works like instant. also works well to freeze it in ice cube trays. then just pop an ice cube in your cup.

That's disgusting, Ray.

John Cole wins for post of the Day, so far. Ray Charles is the Best.

I'm deserving, Ray. I'm not sure of what exactly.
08-04-2019 , 10:12 PM
i hold you in high regard john.

Ray, we took some of you advice and did the Art Walk through the woods in Port Angeles - it was awesome! I'll post some picks sometime soon when I have a few minutes.

Also got to see some whales!

Good to take Ray's advice.

Road trip to Chicago tomorrow. First stop is Ithaca, NY. Then flying home Saturday for a wedding in RI on Sunday.

I'm getting to the point where I don't want to work anymore. Summer has been fun mostly.

Don't take any wrong turns and you'll probably be okay. August is the worst month though!

I might be okay in Oak Park. Seems pretty peaceful to me.

I'll take Saturday, in August, around midnight, on the West Side. With the candelabra.
08-06-2019 , 07:05 PM
West side of what?

Candelabra is a cool word.

First, a comma between "fun" and "mostly" would add needed panache to that cryptic sentence.

Second, you should have got to the point of "I don't want to work anymore" a long time ago. Like Ray Zee did. I don't think Mr. Zee has done a day's work in 40 years.
08-06-2019 , 07:34 PM
Yes, Zeno, you are correct, mostly. A dash, though, might be even better--certainly. And I could certainly use a dash of panache.

never had a job in my life and never said yeas sir to anyone.

I'll never get the dirty plate look.
Almost as distasteful as that sprig of mint.
08-06-2019 , 11:35 PM
The sprig of mint I put in my pocket for later. You know, like Ray Zee would.

The dirty plate is to make you look/feel more sophisticated than the average Bear. Silly of course, I agree. But the majority of mankind are silly. Even Phat Mack knows this. But most English poets do not.

And that is that.

I've been reading Rational Wiki. Highly entertaining.
08-07-2019 , 02:07 AM
what is it??
08-07-2019 , 03:08 AM
it depends on the definition of it
08-07-2019 , 04:25 AM
It's the candlestick, not the candelabra.
