There are things that will surely seem as they are not. And I might not know all that I've got. But the bluffing is easy, and I haven't seen your hand.

Happy Birthday to Dom.

Thanks, John! Great Joe Jackson stuff...that's my favorite album of his.

So today, I turn 56. That seems highly unlikely. I think I'm really about 25.

Later, I'm taking my new car for a drive up to Mt. Charleston with my gal, then she's taking me to the movies, where there are only about 20 seats per theater - big recliners with tables, where you can order a nice dinner and drinks and they bring it to you as you're watching the movie. We love it.

Nice, Dom. I'm still waiting for my "friend" to take me out for my birthday. It's only been since October.

You're a lucky man. Ah, Summer! And Glory Days; Lounge LC Thread

No. I almost made it to 70 when, Whoosh! I got dragged back to 19 again. As the waitress in the noodle joint explained to me, I wasn't going backwards--just in circles. Be prepared!

I mean I have to think about it for a second before I stand up from a sitting position these days, but I don't feel - inside - any different than when I was in my 20s. I'm still waiting to feel like an adult.

Me too. And I've been laid up with a hurting back since Monday.

What's it supposed to feel like? being an adult.

Ray Zee has never been an adult.

I've never been an adult.

John Cole only thinks he is an adult.

Adulthood is overrated.

My daughter is trying to sell her house, but she needs a few repairs done after inspection. Her father-in-law can do the work, but they need a licensed contractor to sign off on it.

Contractor inspects work and says it's fine.

Anyway, my son-in-law, a police lieutenant, met the contractor a few years ago. He was responding to a call when a guy, dead drunk, rides up to the scene in a, get this, golf cart and says he knows the chief of police.

My son-in-law's response: "So do I. Now get in your golf cart and go the **** home."

The contractor didn't recognize my son-in-law. Ah, Summer! And Glory Days; Lounge LC Thread

hey, where are all my, "no way you're 56, Dom" comments?

So the car has all these features I've never had before:

lane assist - it will actually kinda nudge the car back if you're crossing a lane line...I experimented and took my hands off the wheel while I was going around a curve....the car kept in the lane and then straightened out when I was out of the curve. Wild.

Has a rear camera, of course, but it will also yell at you if you're backing up and someone or something gets too close. Scared the crap out me.

Adaptive cruise control - you can set the cruise control to stay a certain distance behind the car in front of you, and will slow down or speed up depending on what that car is doing.

The rear hatch will open automatically if I get close enough and the key fob is on me.

Push button start - no keys! That's been weird getting used to.

There's a feature where is someone gets in the back seat and later, when I stop the car and get out - but the person in the back seat does not - it will alert me on my phone or start the horn beeping - good if you have kids or a dog, I guess. My GF said she wants it to alert her if there's someone in the back seat BEFORE she gets in the car lol.

On my side mirror, it has a little warning symbol if someone is in my blindside - that's kinda cool.

The emergency break is this little button on the middle console - so weird.

There's two features for when you're stopped at a light - you can set it so you don't have to keep the brake pressed to stay still and/or the engine will turn off. When you press the gas to go again, everything comes to life like it should, with no lag. Very strange.

I can start the car and turn on the air FROM MY ****ING PHONE! I did it the other night from the poker table....this is amazing for Las Vegas - being able to cool down the car before I get in it. I can also lock or unlock the car and other stuff from my phone app.

I've got a top of the line stereo....it's all about that bass. Fun times.
