Addicted to Serial? Addicted to Serial?

Woof what a lame season. Spend 9 episodes building a case then bring in a couple of guys that say "**** that." I appreciate them offering multiple angles on the story but the execution was long and ****ing boring.

Found this season mildly interesting. And I bet if Serial: season 2 came first it would get a lot better reviews.

But comparing this to season 1 is chalk and cheese. In season 1 there was genuine doubt whether Adnan was guilty or not.

Season 2 is clear cut. Bergdahl is at least guilty of leaving his post and putting his fellow soldiers in danger by looking for him. This season had no cliffhangers like the previous. Bowe Bergdahl will probably receive jail time for being stupid.

All in all, I guess a disappointing season. Sarah was going for an entirely different story this time, and one she thought needed to be told; which is fair enough.

I also agree with people saying Sarah is tilting. The way she speaks is annoying as hell.

Adnan's new trial mostly makes me wonder how many others who are incarcerated also should have new trials but won't because there's been no spotlight on their case.

The difference between Adnan and WMT is that there was a camera crew at the scene of the trial. The film makers had no intention of creating a documentary about the kids getting railroaded, but that's what they figured was happening when they started shooting more and more.

So, your question seems a bit strange. Is there going to be more doubt when no one was at Adnan's trial and no one cared at the time, or is there more doubt when the entire WMT trial is on film?

It's called the follow / unfollow strategy.

Don't fall for it and follow her back. She'll unfollow you in a week.

WM3 filmmakers left out quite a bit of evidence highlighting the WM3's guilt & was clearly biased filmmaking. Imo they had every intention of creating a documentary about railroading, despite no evidence or justification for it. It makes a juicer story than "Cops catch guilty offender(s)". It's Innocence Fraud.

BALTIMORE — A judge on Monday vacated the murder conviction of Adnan Syed, years after the hit podcast “Serial” chronicled his case and cast doubt on his role in the 1999 slaying of former girlfriend Hae Min Lee.

City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn said prosecutors made a compelling argument that Syed's conviction was flawed and that he should immediately go free.

Trial prosecutors did not properly turn over evidence to defense lawyers that could have helped them show someone else killed Lee, Phinn said. And evidence uncovered since the trial would have added “substantial and significant probability that the result would have been different.”
