BTW metaname2, if you want to send me some of your picks, I will take them into consideration. It seems a bit unfair you should miss out completely when you signed up before a few of the others in the draft.

i don't think guessing #1 pick is a surefire thing...there are a few that could be #1

I'm actually really excited about this draft. The '90s were awesome for film, and I know a lot of you lived through the era and are very familiar with it. Should be a great draft.

SPINAL TAP #1 overall!

I am not as well versed in the 90s as the 00s, so I don't think I'll get as good a draft as last time. It should be fun.

I see no reason why it can't just start now. Just give people a bit of leeway for the first round or 2 with regard to time restriction. As soon as LOL has his first pick ready, he should just go imo.

I've got a list of over 50 films ready to go. I'll be happy if I don't have to venture outside of it. I don't think I will have to, but you never know.

Damn, number one is a tough slot. I'm torn between a few, just doing up my shortlist now, but should have my pick up within a few hours.

Round #1 Pick #1

Pulp Fiction (Quentin Tarantino, 1994)

The lives of two mob hit men, a boxer, a gangster's wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption

Obviously doesn't need a write up. I'm an unashamed Tarantino fanboy. You can argue about it not being the "best" movie of the 90s but it was certainly the most influential movie of the 90s, inspiring hundreds of fledgling filmmakers. Tarantino's sharp dialogue is the driving force, along with his innovative style of storytelling. Personally it's very important to me, despite coming out when I was only 7, I remember watching it along with his undrafted debut at around 17, and it certainly inspired my own love of movies.

Yeah there's definitely no clear number one in this draft for me. It's a really deep draft. I had maybe six or seven movies that I felt would be deserving of the number one spot, but I went with the one that was the most influential to me.

One movie less on my list. Suprised to see it as number one, though.

I remember the first time seeing the scene where..
Spoiler:
...Bruce Willis opens the basement door to help Marsellus so well. I was not expecting to see what I saw at all. I was pretty young then and pretty shocked lol

Love that movie, too. Good pick obv.

Great pick. Not my number one pick, but picking the most influential to you, seems like the way to go. Specially considering there was no way this movie would survive coming back to you for pick #30.

Lol that was the one I would have bet on as #1. It is clearly the most important film of the 90s and IMO among the best.

Yeah, that one would be my number 1 first round pick, too, fantastic film and certainly one of the most defining films of the 90s, at least for me. Was expecting it to go, though, so hopefully my second choice has a shot. Anyway, nice pick ldo, LOL
