In this round it is pretty tempting to pick one specific comedic movie and there is no way in heck it is making it back to me, but i think i will go again for something throwback, gritty and about crime. There just aren't many movies of that caliber made in the past decade.

Spoiler:

L.A. Confidential

I wish I could remember this movie better to do this write up justice. I remember it being very nicely written; i loved the way it unfolded in layers, in true fashion of a nice pulp crime novel. I liked the characters a lot, liked the acting, loved the Hollywood atmosphere and the detail of that era. Just a a classic tale of crime and corruption.

i really need to watch this movie again, but i think i'll wait a while and savor the wait.

i think i have like 2-3 movies i really want to take early on, and after that it doesn't matter much what order i draft them in.

How does one put the spreadsheet in the OP? Is that something a Mod has to do?

I actually have LA Confidential on my DVR and plan to watch it in next few weeks. Like you I barely remember any of it. Usually not a good sign.

It is one of those movies that grabs you early on. But personally I think it wavers a little bit in the second act. Still a very fun ride though. Deserving of being drafted for sure.

That's about what I recall too. I swear my ****ing memory from 10-15 years ago is starting to get ****ty. Movies I've only seen once (and that long ago) are really fading. Actually all the movies I gave * to I only saw once, and every other one at least twice and generally more times.

Approx how many times seen in bold: Goodfellas 25x, Pulp Fiction 300x, Fargo 6x, Rushmore 4x, Miller's Crossing 5x, The Matrix 8x, Fight Club 10x, The Shawshank Redemption 12x, Braveheart 5x, Unforgiven 1x, The Silence of the Lambs 12x, Trainspotting 2x, Colors 1x, Leaving Las Vegas 1x, Before Sunrise 2x

I've seen PF far too many times. Could be even higher or possibly a few less although it's at least 250x.

for me not remembering movies that well is pretty standard, my memory is pos and i hardly remember any movie with great detail after a few months elapse. just the general feeling about the movie and a few key scenes stick out in my mind after a while.

I remember the title and gist of just about everything I've seen but the details fade with time unless I've seen them a lot. Back 10 years ago I used to watch the same movies repeatedly but now not so much, rather see something new. So 10 years ago if you catch me watching some movie there's a solid chance it isn't the first time and now almost assured to be.

No complaints from me on the last few picks.

I'd be surprised if anybody snipes my next pick. Then again, I would have been surprised if anybody sniped my first pick.

I have no idea what my next pick will be. I know what movies I want for the whole draft, but most of them seem like no one will snipe me. I have to figure out which one is the most snipe-able.

heh well i really did not feel like picking my #3 movie cause i need a bit of variety and they overlap a bit; this was the only other "crime/action" movie that i had on my list and it would definitely get picked before it got back to me. The rest of my picks will probably be dramas that are unlikely to get sniped, so i just had to pick la confidential at this point.

Spoiler:
This movie is the prenumberate sequel in all of movie series and perhaps the proliferate disection of the unnumbered correction. I used t oenjoy this movie pretty much all of te time when in my amma and then I was bornededed and didn't have to watch it any more because it was a movie that perhaps no one wanted to see but perhaps everything else would possibly be thatbut I don't relaly know exactly why in my pion.
